The hotel photos are the same as the real things, very clean and the service is also very good. The hotel staff delivery of toiletries are very inmate packaging, they offered two quality goods brand of toothpaste; the cleaning service is also thoughtful, they even put away the phone charging cable. The nut chocolate gift before the return trip was delicious！ it’s just strange that such a good hotel has such a low rating? I was very surprised that I booked such a good hotel to spend my holiday in Barcelona. I wrote a good review here, but I hope not to raise the price of this hotel ~hahaha

Hotel was conveniently connected to a mall and within a 15-min taxi ride from Barcelona Sants train station. Room was clean with a bathtub in the toilet. Check-in was fast and smooth with polite staff. Overall a very pleasant stay with easy access to food and shopping right at the doorstep.

Very clean, cozy and good service! We arrived earlier than the check in time thought of just putting the luggage and wander around but they allowed us to check in early and we were so happy.
Going to any of the landmarks will require us to take public transports. The good thing was the public transports are very convenient and nearby.
The only flaw was that it was very hard to find breakfast place nearby early in the morning other than the hotel. Most cafe open at 10 or 11AM so we had to skip breakfast during our stay there.

Most of the staffs were friendly but one was not. We were trying to verify the bill when we checked out and we could feel that she were talking about us trying to check each item. That is not professional of her. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and there is a nice Italian restaurant nearby.

I chose Astoria for New Year's Eve in Barcelona. The room layout is comfortable and it's quiet at night, which makes people feel very at ease. The location is great! It is very convenient to travel by bus or subway. There are many restaurants, cafes and shopping areas nearby. You can walk to La Pedrera, Casa Batlló and other places. Life is convenient and safe. The hotel also gave us 12 candies and grapes, from which we learned about Spain’s New Year’s Eve culture. The small details were surprising!

Very convenient location, close to a number of nice restaurants and tapas places. La Rambla is just around the corner. Metro station Diagonal is 5 minutes away. Welcome drink in the lobby for guests. The room is spacious, well designed. The 3 options of lighting: day time, relax and night, are very well thought as you do not need to decide which light to switch on or off. The breakfast is awesome with fresh yogurt, fruits, made to order omelette and sparkling wine too.

It is relatively easy access to the metro but still a little far from the centre and most attractions. But not a very big deal as BCN isn’t that big. The service was just fair. The staff wasn’t very welcoming nor rude, more of just performing robotic tasks.
The room was just okay as we were arranged the inner room, no view at all and even there was a column in my room. A bit weird to us. The bottle of water was complimentary for one only while it was actually for a double room for two people more logically. The check in and check out service were fast and efficient.

TTeeks Pros:
- The staff was lovely, friendly and helpful
- If you request something, such as an iron etc., it’s always on time and without delay
- Everything was clean. I cannot complain about the cleaning standards.
Cons
- the room is quite dark despite the lights available
- The view, especially the back view, was dreary and depressing, considering I had a long flight from Asia compared to my sister, who flew from Europe and didn’t need the rest as much as I did. Every day, I woke up to a very depressing view. It’s not ideal, and it's poor for someone who may enjoy visuals.
- The sockets were annoying; one didn’t work, and the kettle station needed to be handheld or changed elsewhere. Twice, I held the kettle button down manually to make coffee because I couldn’t be bothered for someone to come and check or replace it as I was in a rush
- The furniture and carpets are outdated in style and appearance. It makes the hotel look way older
- There’s a door holder behind the bathroom door, which lands in the middle, next to the toilet. I hurt myself a few times because I keep forgetting it’s there and, therefore, poorly designed
- Unfortunately, we forgot to bring our toothpaste and toothbrush, though I wasn’t expecting Best Western not to have them in your room. You have to request them every day. The housekeeper didn’t leave them or free water for us daily, only on the first day. So I’m not sure if she’s been forgetting to give us any, or it’s only complimentary water on day 1.
- The wardrobe is tiny and in such a hidden, awakened position. It was dark black and looked like glass. We had to call the staff to show us. It’s in a weird place
- Slippers: Again, much like the water, we were only given slippers on the first day. I understand the need to go green, but given that we stayed for four nights, it would be hygienic to give us a new set. On the last day, we had to wear our own shoes inside the room, which wasn’t great.
- We paid € 15 additional for breakfast daily €. It was basic but not bad. But the time until 10:30AM is good.
Overall, was it worth the money we paid for four nights? No.
The only highlights were ,mentioned among the professional staff members and cleanliness standards.

Hotel room wise, apart from the room is small for the price you pay, the toilet is extremely small… yet the room comes with an unnecessary long corridor walkway. We had problem finding space to put our luggages.
For probably one of the cheapest and most decent room for its location, am overall satisfied with the hotel.
Btw, probably not so suitable for non-couple

FfaryGreat experience in this hotel, located near major tourist spots in Barcelona, good access to public transport, lots of cafes and nearby restaurant s, and famous brands such as Zara,... 😂super friendly and hospitable staff, they have booked tickets for sightseeings and gave me thorough information about how to get to those places👍👍, the room was big, spacious and clean, with lots of large mirrors and a electronic safe in the closet, 👍👍breakfast was amazing, including a wide range of hot, cooked Spanish dishes, olives, fruits and yummy cheeses 😋😋😋
Only problem I faced was the ceiling started leaking, and the staff immediately offered me another room 👍👍
I'm highly recommending this place

This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in my entire life!!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible Service, Staff are soooo rude! It was literally a place to lay my head for the night as I was out in the day, but even with minimal interaction it was appalling! Don’t even go here if you are black! It’s like they are angry I’m here! I’ve never felt so unwanted in my life. The key cards don’t work and every time I had to go to reception they would literally ignore me tell me to stand on the side and attend to natives who are new checkins that would take 20/30mins, I waited for almost an hour just to go back to my room than just validate my key card in 1 min as a paying guest. I was close to tears as Raphael at the desk literally screamed at me ask he asked my why I came back to the hotel late in the first place, my only words were, I’m sorry is there a curfew? This is at 11pm meanwhile he had put me on the side and attended to new walk ins for almost an hour! I was silent Cus in the moment I was afraid if I reacted he knew my room number and I could only imagine the worst! I had maybe 2 hours sleep as every sound gave me a panic.
Breakfast is garbage so after day 1, I decide not to go until day 3 to just get a fruit on my way out, it finishes at 10am I was at the door at 9:47, staff stopped from entering the hall saying it finishes at 10, I explain i understand and just want to get a fruit, she refused entry, on breakfast that I paid for? I turned around without argument.
At that point I figured this was my fault for booking such, I’ve taken my L on this, but please I beg you, don’t let this be you.

RRinret DabengI have mixed feelings about my experience. The hotel is a nice hotel. The location is amazing. It’s clean, rooms are spacious and the staff are extremely professional, pleasant and serviceable. Unfortunately the hotel and our room had a very musty smell- almost like wet carpet or wet towel which we didn’t like. Housekeeping is extremely slow, I’m not sure if there is only one cleaner but essentially we could leave for hours and come back and still find our room had not been cleaned yet. Also, we didn’t like the food…limited options and it’s the same thing everyday…and not all of it was pleasant to eat. We had paid for half board so we didn’t want our money to go to waste but otherwise I wouldn’t have eaten at the hotel.

JJala Johirul AminAmazing Hotel . Stayed here 3 nights and the location was amazing . They have a pool which is cold during this season . However in the summer I’m sure it’s perfect . Also the rooms are decent size with opening windows and also they have amazing staff who keep your room tidy !

GGuest UserFrom the airport, take the L9 subway directly to Collblanc, and you will arrive at the hotel as soon as you exit the subway station! In addition, you can take the L5 subway from the hotel to many attractions, such as the Sagrada Familia and St. Paul's Hospital of the Cross! There is bottled water supply in the hotel room, and the hot water pressure in the bathroom is stable! I am satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. I will definitely stay here again next time I travel to Spain!

CCHAOGreat location, just southeast corner of Plaza Catalunya. Outside the door is a pedestrian street, and it’s not fun. At night, sitting outside the balcony, getting some food and drinking, watching the crowds and performances outside, is also very pleasant. The surrounding transportation is convenient and there are many restaurants.

DDara TanLocker is available for store luggages before check in time @ 2euro. Hotel is clean, staff is ok. Wall is thin like what other comments said but you can solve problem by your earphone. Bed is comfort, recommended. It is in walking distance to sagrada familla. About 30 mins far from airport, taxi cost will be around 50euro. Microwave is available at first floor and there is a coffee/bakery shop which open since 6.30am. Suitable for anyone who will leave hotel very early morning.

When I was there my room was next to the reception and I heard all the problems he had with the guests and several discussions and actually even one guest left the hotel and said until ever because he had no hot water in his room And the fat reception answered him with a cruelty that it was not his problem. And he treated me very badly and because of his fault I would never stay there again He has no ways
