Okay so we stayed here for a few days whilst doing a bit skiing and snowboarding. We went Wednesday to Saturday in mid March and the hotel and the slopes were quiet. This hotel is really good and just a few small but important tweaks and it could easily be amazing. Pros: - Looks average on the outside, but looks great on the inside, indoor outdoor feel, amazing fire pit in reception atrium. I really warm, cosy and relaxing plush feel we felt. Two lifts, one at either end only fit about 5 people in but quick and easy to access. Friendly staff (except the night receptionist but we get that) - Breakfast, really quite good. We managed our expectations down after reading other generic hotel reviews of breakfasts. Have to say this one was pretty good. Coffee machines, a good mix of hot and cold food and nicely presented. Staff were welcoming. - Room itself was big and quiet. We had a studio apparently. TV, mirrors, plug sockets, shower. We had a free breakfast in a bag on our last morning as we left at 7am and breakfast didn’t open until 7.30am. Simple baguette, fruit and a bottle of water but nice of them to provide for free. - Location. Okay so this is a real plus and I can’t undersell this. 9 minute walk to the gondola, so close enough to carry equipment, but, far enough outside that you can’t hear any of the buzz or musics from the Apres. A real sweet spot. 2hours and 5 minutes from Sofia airport. Cons: The great news is that all of our negative points are things the hotel could totally solve. - Very warm room. I didn’t have a thermometer with me but I reckon the room was between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. Too warm for a decent nights sleep for us. We asked the reception to turn the temp down and they said they would have someone for maintenance check and do that, but it didn’t seem any better the next night. - Onto the window. so we did end up, opening the window to cool the room down which worked just fine and the area surrounding the hotel is pretty quiet at night. However the window swings all the way open with no option to open it just a crack, so we were either very warm or quite cold. Also the bins were collected one morning around 6.30am right outside our window (we were on the 3rd floor). - The apartment came with a kitchenette and stove which we didn’t use, but if you wanted to, there were no pots, pans and utensils to cook with. You might be able to ask for these. - Shower. The water pressure was great and the hot water came through really quickly. However the shower head was too small for the pressure and so essentially you had a load of high power tiny jets hitting your skin. Obviously you just turn the shower pressure down, but a bigger shower head at the cost of 5 Euros would make for such a luxurious shower. Obvious stuff, but the shower sprays straight out of the cubicle door if you walk in and turn it on without moving the shower head. - Beds. When we booked through Heidi, we could have sworn we were getting a doub
