The Ivy Hotel

I booked an overnight reservation for my husband's birthday celebration. The entire experience was unique and simply outstanding in every way! We were made to feel VERY SPECIAL by each and every staff member with whom we engaged. We were CONTINUALLY welcomed throughout the stay from the person who opened the car door and greeted us by name to the very knowledgeable concierges, the room service staff, the culinary staff, the bellman, the driver, Lottie Dottie and EVERYBODY! The hotel was very clean and beautifully adorned with pictures, books, furniture, plants and artifacts that told the story of the hotel. This includes the very accommodating bedroom with a comfortable canopy bed and a pristine, spacious and updated bathroom. One could ALWAYS count on soul-stirring music playing in the background of every public space. Each tune moved us to murmur the lyrics regardless of where we were and what we were doing. Ever had a snack attack? No worries! The room was well stocked with a variety of goodies and beverages to soothe those evening urges. And, finally, let me praise the food selections offered to us at teatime and breakfast. Homemade jam, almond butter, muffins, oat flapjacks, chicken sausage, eggs, and more! This was quite an awesome getaway! And, yes, we would do it all over again!

The experience was wonderful. The staff was kind, and attentive. The environment was clean, uniquely curated, and peaceful. It was everything I hoped my staycation could be. I’d definitely recommend 10/10

From the time we arrived until our departure, this was an exquisite experience. All staff knew us by name although this was the first time at this location. The hotel itself, a former mansion, was absolutely gorgeous. The room was terrific with the most comfortable bed. The added bonus is that the hotel is Black owned. My wife want to especially thank Calvin for making our stay a most memorable event. We plan to return.

Would give them ten stars if I could. The hospitality of the staff was unparalleled, the food at Magdalena for dinner and breakfast was fantastic, and the room was welcoming and relaxing. The Ivy is a perfect spot for anniversaries and other special occasions. Will definitely return.

The Ivy hotel is my favorite spot in Baltimore. My husband and I go multiple times every year. The decor is so beautiful, creating a very warm and intimate atmosphere. The food at Magdalena is delicious. And every staff person is warm and welcoming. They are the icing on the cake of a perfect weekend getaway.

This is our 4th trip back to The Ivy and we look forward to our next adventure there to be enjoyed soon. Elegant, refined and relaxing, the property is an absolute gem. The staff, service, restaurant, bar and spa are all fantastic. When a place is this good I almost don't want to tell too many people about it, I want to keep it secret. But they deserve the accolades so they deserve to be prosperous. Don't change a thing, Ivy, you are perfect just the way you are!
