The Asa Maia - Bespoke Wellness Resort

Asa Maia is hands down one of my favourite hotels ever. It is a sanctuary to unwind and heal, and each time I stay I leave feeling rejuvenated and whole. It is a special place.

Wow this place is a hidden gem. Perfect place to relax and enjoy your time while taking care of yourself during your vacation. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful in anything I needed. The instructors were great and supportive during my stay and made it very special. The food was absolutely amazing! So tasty and delicious. Do your self a favor, if your looking for a slow pace, relaxed and high quality place, come here - super recommended! Thank you for making my arrival to Bali so comfortable and exactly as I needed.

[사진은 업로드가 불가하네요 앱에서 ai필터로 업로드 무한 로딩걸려 사진은 빼고 올립니다] 임신 중인 아내는 구역질과 두통 증세를 보였고, 건강을 우려해 체크인 30분 만에 급히 퇴실할 수밖에 없었습니다. 이 상황은 단순 불편을 넘어서 정상적인 숙박이 명백히 불가능한 사안입니다. 그러나 이 상황에서조차 Trip.com은 20만원, 40만원, 60만원, 80만원 등 ‘부분 환불’만 제안하고 있습니다. 2박 208만원 전액을 결제했으며, 객실을 실질적으로 사용하지도 못했음에도 불구하고, 책임을 회피하는 태도입니다. 이는 소비자를 철저히 무시하는 기만적 보상안이며, 본질적인 문제를 축소하려는 시도에 불과합니다. 서비스가 제공되지 않았다면, 지불된 금액은 100% 돌려받아야 하는 것이 원칙입니다. Trip.com과 호텔은 다음과 같은 문제에 대해 책임져야 합니다. • 현장에서의 심각한 위생 문제와 객실 상태 • 임산부에게 발생한 신체적 이상 증세 • 정상적인 이용이 불가능했음에도 책임 회피 • 소비자 피해에 대한 불합리한 부분 환불 제안 [소비자 보호법에 따른 환불 근거] • 「전자상거래법」 제17조 제1항: 재화 또는 용역에 중대한 하자가 있을 경우, 환불 가능 • 「민법」 제580조: 계약된 목적에 맞지 않아 이용이 불가능한 경우, 계약 해제 및 전액 환불 가능 Trip.com은 소비자 편의를 표방하지만, 실제로는 숙소의 편에 서서 소비자의 권리를 외면하고 있습니다. 이번 사례처럼 피해를 겪은 소비자가 쉽게 포기하도록 유도하는 방식은 절대 정당화될 수 없습니다. 우리는 2박 208만 원에 대한 전액 환불을 정당하게 요구하며, 끝까지 소비자의 권리를 지킬 것입니다. 이 리뷰는 또 다른 피해자가 생기지 않기를 바라는 마음으로 작성되었으며, 진실을 기반으로 한 메시지입니다.

My daughter and I found this an oasis of sublimity. A little piece of Bali near Uluwatu. This establishment has been built with the greatest attention to the finest detail- from the private bungalows built from one hundred year old teak wood, to Italian crafted linen bedding and the beautiful mini bar treats which were replenished daily. The infinity pool is beautifully positioned, a great size and exceptionally clean. The restaurant serves delicious freshly prepared food every day and the inclusive breakfast was both substantial and delicious. The treatments were performed with the utmost proficiency and professionalism- my best ever massage! Daily activities are included, such as yoga and hot and cold plunge pools which are architecturally integrated into the land with a meandering path leading to subterranean pools with an open air aspect. Just amazing! Danielle was the instructor for these activities and she was a force of nature, inspirational and a font of knowledge regarding the human body. The owner, Martha, was often on site and gave of her time willingly to chat to her guests. We were so impressed we didn’t even venture out! The best experience I’ve ever had on holiday!

We already dearly miss The Asa Maia! My wife and I spent five nights here during the first leg of our honeymoon and it was our favorite resort during a four-stop trip. Where to start.. the staff was super friendly with many getting to know our names. The food was great during each meal and we appreciated the seed oil-free menu. The spa was incredible. The resort is so thoughtfully designed; we loved how there is a large communal table for meals in which you can interact with fellow guests. Definitely the best coffee we had during our stay. There's something to be said about an inclusive breakfast that is not a buffet! We truly enjoyed the juices, homemade banana bread, and healthy food options. And of course - the wellness activities. From pilates with Danielle to breathwork with Marylene to daily contrast therapy (infrared sauna and cold plunge), we loved it all. In looking back, my wife Isabel and I realized the following as our criteria for traveling when us two: wellness resort (i.e., daily wellness activities), truly healthy food options, spa, boutique, and adults-only. The Asa Maia had all this.

On the surface The Asa Maia is a small relaxed-luxury boutique resort, with 10 beautiful rustic yet immaculate villas in converted antique timber houses from Java. There is a generous saltwater swimming pool, a large communal dining table where the chefs serve locally grown organic food and sustainably fished seafood and various spots with comfortable sofas for lazy lounging. Then there is the extraordinary attention to detail, like soft Belgian linen sheets and large windows with leafy views in what would otherwise be dark antique houses from Java. Add the thoughtful touches like fresh Jamu and ginger lemonade in your personal fridge every day and a truly wonderful team who remember everyone’s name and favorite breakfast/coffee/drink. With its twice daily yoga/movement classes, daily hot/cold contrast therapy and 1:1 breathwork sessions The Asa Maia crosses the threshold from boutique resort to wellness retreat. And yet, the experience of staying at The Asa Maia is somehow more than even all these good things. We didn’t meet Martha, the creator and owner of The Asa Maia as she was overseas. Daniela, the incredible human who was our physical guide through a week of movement and stillness, shared a little about Martha’s journey from disease to true health. The Asa Mair feels like Martha’s gift to the world in gratitude for her own healing. We found it to be a profound and extraordinary place of restoration and revitalization.
