Chillhouse Lembongan Homestay

I cannot recommend the Chillhouse highly enough. It is fantastic. The rooms are massive and spotless. The pool is perfect and the host, Gede is the best. I extended my stay while I was here I enjoyed it that much. They also have a convenience store attached to the Chillhouse and rent scooters. Restaurants and bars are all around the Chillhouse and it’s a 6 minute walk from the ferry port. This is definitely my “go to” place to stay when visiting Lembongan. I do not hesitate to recommend it.

This was our first time to Lembongan so we were unsure of any of the accommodation and locations to everything. I was fortunate enough to find the Chillhouse and was able to use flyer points for our 3 night stay and it was to be a very good choice!! From the start everything was a breeze. We arrived earlier than check in time however, we were able to get into the room regardless. There are only 6 rooms, we were in room 6 one of the "penthouse" rooms. The rooms have all you need, a spacious bathroom, tv, fridge, safe and wardrobe as well as tea/coffee and water not to forget the a/c also. You also have a pool to use. There is a small convenience shop at reception where you can also rent scooters and book tours. As far as the location goes perfect!!! You walk out the front and you have access to an endless choice of bars restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. The beach is around a 5 min walk. The Chillhouse if family run and I think a better choice and less expensive than some of the beachfront resorts. They went out of their way to make us welcome and enjoy our stay which we certainly did. I cannot reccommend the Chillhouse enough and will definitely be staying there again on our next visit.

Very close to Port while arriving from Sanur to NL. Its a bit far (About 3-4 kms away when going to NP from NL, you then have to go to a different port near Yellow Bridge) or if you opt for the boat operator arranged by the guest house to Mangrove (it's not a port, you wade through water to get into a small boat). Clean property, located in the middle of many restaurants. There are however no good beaches nearby. There is the beach at the boat harbour called Jungutbatu beach, however it is full of boats tied up. There are a couple of vegan food options nearby that was a huge help It's not to do with Chillhouse, but Nusa Lemongan in general. There's no organised boat transport companies that run boat services to Nusa Penida from Nusa Lembongan, those that are operating have very questionable safety standards. the boat booked by Chillhouse (as also other guest houses in the area) start from Mangrove (not Yellow bridge). It's very unorganized (the boat company doesn't even have a name!); they overbook, there are no safety jackets, they take it very lightly given it is just a 15 min ride from NL to NP, but the same 15 min can prove fatal, as they are travelling in deep sea without any safety precaution and with more passengers than they should admit. In hindsight, I think I took a huge and unacceptable risk by travelling to NL and NP in the current state of affairs. I am not sure if its better to use the boat services from Yellow bridge and that is worth checking
