Bali Matahari

The place is very loud on the ground floor. The reception desk and kitchen area are both there next to each other. You will be able to hear people in the kitchen area being very loud, yelling, and playing their phones loud from inside your room on the first floor. Wait- it gets worse. Agoda & other travel sites state there is "no public smoking area" in the hotel. This is fairly normal and the usual rule in hotels as it's a public health standard. Except at Cove matahari -- it's a lie. Not only is there a public smoking area but IT'S THE SAME SPACE AS THE KITCHEN AREA. That's right. So you can expect to have many people smoking throughout the day and night in the same place you're supposed to cook your food and eat. You will end up smelling like cigarettes,  your clothes will end up smelling like cigarettes and your food will end up smelling like cigarettes. Instead of providing a normal kitchen space to eat and cook they provide an opportunity to get lung cancer and be sickened. This is just the most unhealthy and unwelcoming place to stay. I left after one night and that was was one night too much. Don't be fooled by their false advertising. This is only a place to stay for those who like loud noise, cigarette smoke and lung cancer.
