Just returned from a 3-night stay at the property and wanted to give the resort the positive rating it deserves. Some travel agent friends suggested we meet here for a couple of days of diving -- it's not the kind of place I would have normally chosen on my own, but I'm sure glad they suggested it. The property is a 2.5 - 3.0 hour drive from DPS airport, and I was dreading it. But once we got to the property, I quickly felt like it was well worth it. This part of Bali is so much calmer than the crazy tourist areas to the south. It's lush and beautiful and relaxing without feeling remote. The resort is intimate, I think maybe 10 rooms, and it's right on the shore so you have great views of the ocean and easy access to the water. In fact, we could even see the ocean from the bed in our room! I thought the property looked kind of "meh" from the pictures on their website, but it's so much nicer in person. The grounds are simply stunning with beautiful landscaping, exotic plants, babbling brooks with colorful fish swimming along, flowers from the frangipane trees gently flowing by. It's maintained so well, giving everything a pristine feeling. We stayed in the Chedi Garden villa and WOW, it was so nice. The private pool is huge and so beautiful with a fountain of water trickling in, surrounded by lush landscaping and flowers. We only used one of the rooms (the other was left vacant) and it was also terrific. The bathroom is enormous and everything is in great condition and, like the entire resort, immaculately clean, After two years of Covid, I think a lot of hotels had to defer maintenance in order to survive, so I expect to find a lot of things not working or in need of sprucing up. But Tell Karang was in mint condition, almost feeling like a brand new resort. We were very impressed with how well they've kept everything in perfect condition. The restaurant is also quite good. For a small property, they have a very extensive menu and we enjoyed everything we ate. Gin and tonics at happy hour were great and a fun way for us to wind down the day. Staff was excellent across the board. Very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. My only constructive feedback would be that breakfast was a little thin on options. It was totally fine, but nothing too special. Oh, I should mention the dive shop that's associated with the resort. It was fine, not great. We did a walk-out dive on the house reef and the shore is very rocky with strong current, so it was difficult to get out there. And the dive guide who joined us on both of our dives was only ok. He barely spoke to us, so maybe there was a language barrier there, but he also didn't instill a ton of confidence. We wanted to dive on the Liberty wreck and thought we'd drive there and do a walk-in dive from a nearby shop, but the hotel dive shop said it was only a 30 min boat ride to get there, so we did that. Well, it ended up being over 1 hour ride each way and the surf
