What a lovely resort, an Oasis from the hustle and bustle of the street. Set in a tranquil setting you are warmly welcomed at reception and escorted to your lovely Villa. This is our second time at The Amala and we were not disappointed. The Villas are set out beautifully - we had a 2 bedroom Villa with enclosed garden and a huge pool which also had a large undercover outdoor lounge/dining area. Both bedrooms had ensuites with covered outdoor showers - definite holiday ambience! The rooms are cleaned daily and they also have a late afternoon turndown service to set the mosquito coils, and canopy over the bed to keep you comfortable. There were mosquitoes, but not too many, they have a Mozzie lotion Soffell in the outdoor lounge area which you can use and when we needed it, found it really effective. The staff are wonderful always ready with a smile and happy to help with any query you may have. The restaurant is set by the main pool in a tranquil setting and while only a few tables, (we found most of the other tourists had room service delivered to their Villas) they are ably attended to by the wonderful wait staff Evi, Kamong, Sinta, Ayan and Anika. The menu is diverse with Chef catering for many palates, delicious and is well presented. They also have a fantastic spa, Tula Wellness. We had masseuses Desi and Kadek, who were marvellous - very caring and professional ladies and you felt very relaxed. They were able to find all the sore spots and smooth them out leaving you feeling absolutely amazing, but saddened that time had gone so quickly. Thoroughly recommend the massages. There are so many wonderful staff, but must also say thanks to the shuttle service drivers who do an amazing job negotiating all the traffic, getting you to the resort and finding all the little short cuts to get you to places on time! A special Thank You to Eka for his exceptional help in making our stay so wonderful. He has a very capable management team , including Cacha (pronounced Saka) for her calm and efficiency, always happy to help. We had a terrific holiday!

If I could rate it higher I would. From check to in and on the staff was simply amazing. Immediate to response and happy to help. The grounds are beautiful and I was beyond impressed with my room. It’s the kind of resort you never want to leave. They went so above and beyond that when I checked out travel arrangements were made to get me to my next stop Ubud. They were amazing.

We just got back from the Amala Estate. Our family stayed in a 3 bedroom villa for my husbands birthday. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Everyone we met smiled EVERYDAY. No problem was too hard for them. The accommodation was wonderful - the kids jumped in the private pools 3-4 times a day. We had the privacy to just hang out together. The location was great - we were in Seminyak and most things in Seminyak were a walk or short grab-ride away. We had a two meal inclusion...and by the end of it we were scared of eating any more because that's all we did for 7 days!! (Time for a fast on return). The staff helped me arrange my husbands birthday cake and decorated the room. They made sure the cake was decorated as requested. Thank you to Roy and the wonderful wonderful staff at the Amala - if we come back to Amala again it will be because if your beautiful hospitality.

The Amala were extremely hospitable from the beginning. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always happy to help. Extremely respectful to us. They helped book our fast boat to the gilis and ordered a scooter for our stay with them. When we were super tired from a day trip and wanted food quickly, they ordered us a takeaway. The villa itself was beautiful, a lovely outdoor living area with a pool. We also had a bath arranged for us on our final evening filled with petals and candles. We both had a traditional Balinese massage which was the best we've ever had. We would recommend staying here for anyone wanting a relaxing break but close enough to be able to access good shops and restaurants
