Great atmosphere, service was amazing. Great food choices all day long, event where held on a day/evening bases every day. Great pools and easy beach access. I know some people has different opinions based on their reviews. But let's be Real, this was an amazing Vacation Thanks to the service provided by RIU staff. Thank you for all you did, definitely recommend to others, and will be back again!

The mattress is not as comfortable. The shower would smellblike sewage. Probably cause the shower line DOES NOT HAVE A WATER TRAP.

This is a great beach with nice sand. There was a wind advisory for a few days and the waves were hard to handle, but preteen and to 20 year olds were having fun. There isn't a bar on the beach so you need to go up to the pool for drinks. Jacob came to the beach to take drink orders before his shift at the pool bar started. There is entertainment each night, but nothing to exciting. Music goes until 11:00 pm and you can hear it in your room. Turn the fan on and you will be fine. Great buffet! Negative: only one elevator on my side was working for the first 5 days. You can't make reservations for eating. Be in line by 5:15 pm. If you come closer to 6 you won't get to eat till 8:30 or later.

My group of 13 people had a very good time for the week we visited...
Staff was spectacular...
The only thing that was an issue was one of the elevators on our side was out of order. Was told it had been that way for 3 weeks (4 weeks including the week we were there). Being on the 4th floor, there were times that I walked up and down the stairs...but it really would have been nice with the 2nd elevator. Most of the issues were during the later morning to early afternoon as people were checking in/out.

I really loved this property, but was a little disappointed in the specialty restaurants. The buffet was great. The Asian restaurant was fantastic, but the steakhouse, Italian, and gourmet were just ok. I wish there were more selections, and I wish the seafood options had more shrimp and seafood in them. I'm not that picky so I would definitely stay here again with the current food options, but I've eaten at better specialty restaurants at other properties. Otherwise, the property was great. It was clean, service was always good, and the beach was wonderful.

Our family of four stayed for 6 nights this last week. Our sons are 23 and 20 and we had two rooms located next to each other. The things we loved were the location, the beach is wonderful, the staff is fabulous and it was extremely clean, rooms are very nice and large and the Ocean View upgrade is defiantly worth it. We had great drinks and the food was good. Our input for change would be to have more dining options that are not additional buffets and we were surprised that there was not more Mexican food options and/or a Mexican restaurant. We also occasionally found ourselves having to stand in lines for drinks, but they did try to work quickly to handle all the guests. We did not find consistent poolside service for drinks so we would have to go to one of the bar stands to get anything, which are right nearby. Prob not a bad idea to get up and walk a bit, but just a heads up. The staff is really friendly and went above and beyond to get to know the things we liked with our meals and even our drink orders and extra items we may want in our room mini bar. They have a large amount of activities throughout the day, so if you like to be entertained you will like the resort. On Sunday's they have a live band play near the bar pool, which was very fun and festive. It would have been nice to have the live music at the pool at least one more day. All in all we left very satisfied and would definitely consider staying at a Riu property again.

Front desk staff was not friendly and did not help us when we needed help. We paid extra for our room (our group booked 5 rooms) and paid more than the rest of our party but we had 2 twin beds (they called them double but only slightly bigger than a twin) and a pull out bed. We are a married couple traveling with our 18 year old daughter. Their recommendation was that we all sleep in separate beds, push 2 together and have our daughter sleep in a pullout. (Which was filthy and not made) They did not provide options despite conveying that we would AGAIN pay more money. No flexibility and no options to accommodate even a room change later in the week. We asked and manager was even more rude and told us to complain to ******* and that they would not do anything. They made my wife cry and did not apologize. This is the 4th trip we have taken as a large group and we are reconsidering booking with ******* (because the hotel told us they couldn’t do anything) and will reconsider booking at any Riu property.
