This place is so tranquil and beautiful, the beds so comfortable, the food delicious and the staff so very welcoming. The highlights were a fabulous BBQ around a fire, and also an unforgettable two hour walk around the property with one of the staff who was born in the village as the son of tea pickers who work on the tea plantation. There was nothing he didn’t know about tea production, but what was just as interesting was hearing his stories of village life. We tasted freshly cut sugar cane, met school friends on their way home, saw a crested hawk eagle and some kingfishers …and simply admired the views and the sight of beautifully tended vegetable gardens. All rounded off with a peak into the small production tea factory and a demonstration of the process. So much more enjoyable than the larger tea tour we did the day before. It was a joy
