I re-visited this hotel after my last stay there more than a decade ago. The hotel is old but it may have kept its standards on par with other famous hotels in the city. Rooms are huge and clean and are priced from P2500 with breakfast. Bathrooms are well-lighted and newly renovated. Buffet breakfast is serviced by the pool and the selection of food is fine. As before, service at the Front Desk and in the whole hotel was very warm and friendly. I will recommend this hotel to my friends who will visit Bacolod.

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for five days, and I must say that Filipino hospitality is exceptional. All of the staff members are extremely polite and courteous, and the receptionists are very helpful to me, with the exception of this one tall skinny girl in a ponytail who I encountered; the manner she conversed with me was displeasing; she did not even address me adequately as a guest, with no ma’am or smile on her face. And I can’t comprehend what she’s saying because her response is in a different language. Thankfully, there was a blonde receptionist who spoke to me politely and assisted me with my situation. The restaurant staff is also quite accommodating. Great food, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The rooms are also very pleasant and I had the pleasure of getting their Swedish massage, which was the best. What impressed me the most was the hotel’s architecture and interior design, characterized by modern Mediterranean with a tropical touch. Beautiful hotel

My family booked the hotel for my brother’s wedding and the place was great. Lived up to its reputation. We just found the room attached to the wedding package to be smaller than expected. We booked other rooms that were spacious and clean, only the fridge in one of the rooms wasn’t maintained well as there was a smell. The food was amazing, no complaints at all. We had a good stay overall and looking forward for next time. :)

Held our 40th High School Reunion at Sugarland Hotel on April 27,2024. Stayed with friends from US on April 25-29 and we got nothing but excellent service everyone. At the onset of my planning, I was assisted by Lynsie and she provided me with the information needed to make our party a success. The staff during our party were all professional and kind. The staff at breakfast like Dwight, Pommel, Robert etc will go out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. The rooms are fine with wood floors reminding us of the old Hacienda feel. Thanks also for the security guards who always make sure to open the door for us and see that we are safe. To everyone, thank you so much for your warm hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay at Sugarland. God bless you and keep going the great work!

Stayed here dec 13 to 14. No parking available for guests since the event occupied all parking. Waited 45 mins to park. Music was blaring all night. Reception was of no use. Didnt even offer solutions to lessen the party music. Dont stay at this hotel. Seda is a better option.

I was attending a party in the hotel that night and decided that I would rather check-in for the night than drive home late. The room price (I got superior) was very reasonable plus I had a seniors’ discount. What a surprise to see a beautiful newly-renovated home with an hacienda feel with the wooden planks. So homey plus the black out curtains would certainly give one a restful sleep. Am waiting for the next party and will definitely book myself again there. By the way, Twist, the restaurant serves really good food (I’m picky with my food) and at very reasonable prices. I had US angus pot roast for my lunch!
