Blue Palm Bacalar

Absolutely marvellous, everything was perfect. Ladies at the reception are very helpful, the breakfast is delicious and the rooms and pool are incredible. I loved every minute of it and wish we’d stayed longer! We booked the paddle board sunrise tour via reception and we loved that too! We borrowed the hotel’s bikes as well, the bikes were a bit small for us tall Dutch people, but loved it anyway.

We absolutely loved our stay at Blue Palm and Bacalar in general. - the staff were so incredibly helpful and really took our stay to the next level. Lluvia in particular was so welcoming and gave us recommendations for the local area taking the time to answer all our annoying questions. She was always on hand and even called a taxi for us when we were stranded on the other side of town. - the room was lovely and spacious and very clean, very good air con, bed was comfy (need to find out where they get their pillows) and the bathroom was large with a big walk in shower. The room included a tv, a fridge and ample storage space (not always easy to find on holiday) - we spent a lot of time round the pool which was lovely and quiet and just a really relaxing vibe. We especially enjoyed watching all the little lizards that run about - the location is great, very close (10 min walk) the the main square and literally 5 minutes from the lagoon. We spent a lot of days in La Playita which is very close. We found it super quiet and never struggled with noise in the 5 days we were there - breakfast we thought was brilliant. You get fruit, toast, juice and tea/coffee included every morning and then a choice of a hot dish (mainly revolving around eggs). The restaurant in general we found really good and we ate there for lunch a couple of times. It has a varied menu including mexican and european dishes. If we were too return we would definitely want to come back here, can't recommend enough. the only 1 tiny little negative is that the WiFi wasn't great. This didn't bother us too much but may bother others. There are plenty of places nearby to get better wifi if you need it!

We absolutely loved our stay at this fabulous hotel. The rooms are gorgeous. The pool and outdoor space are very well landscaped with brilliant furniture. I loved chilling by the pool, it was peaceful and beautiful. The hotel breakfasts were very good and the bar is lovely too. Would stay here again. Highly recommended.
