When we arrived at Casa Chukum, it was my boyfriend's birthday. We got a big surprise when we entered the room, because they decorated it so great. The staff was super friendly en gave us a lot of nice tips to see and do in the area. I would definately stay here again when I come back to Bacalar

Amazing experience especially with the staff. Laid back environment in a beautifully designed structure. We weren’t even inside when we got right in front of the structure, and just then, Pablo opened up to greet us so warmly. The check-in process was done very thoroughly, and we were accompanied to our room where they carried our really heavy luggage and explained every little detail in the room while giving us traditional sweets. They offer a great range of tours that they send you via whatsapp so you can explore all your options. We booked the veil tour and it was amazing. We had to stay in one day because the weather was not the best, they kindly cooked the popcorn in the microwave that we bought earlier helping us with our hangover 💀 The room was beautiful, spatious and cleaned everyday. That staff was one of the best we ever met. We’d come back just to see you guys again, thanks for everything 🖤

Staying at Casa Chukum was like coming home every night to a warm welcome, comfortable surroundings, good food, relaxing atmosphere and a lovely huge bed to sleep in. The staff were so friendly and helpful and it really made our stay in Bacalar even more special.

We loved it here. Gardens and rooms were great. Loved it so. Much we extenred our stay and came back again after we left. Staff are all friendly and helpful. We didn't eat breakfast here but what I saw did look great. Thanks so much and next time we are around we will be sure to come back.

Beautiful place so very unique and everyone super friendly, The Artwork is stunning rooms super large. Couldn't fault one thing. Dogs and cats so cute wanted to take them home. You really dont need to look elsewhere if you're staying in bacalar

This hotel is perfectly located just a few blocks from Bacalar’s main square and only one block from a public access point to the beautiful lagoon. The decoration is super cool—full of fun, creative details that give the place a unique and playful vibe. What really stands out, though, is the warmth and care from the staff. They make you feel welcome even before you arrive, sending helpful messages and making sure everything is ready for your stay. The rooms are modern, practical, and comfortable, with cozy beds, good air conditioning, a nice shower, and enough space to relax. Staying here was definitely a great decision. My teenagers loved it and are already talking about coming back!

LOVED our stay at this amazing boutique hotel. Location is perfect, we heard little noise from other restaurants at night, were close to restaurants, small grocery tiendas, and one block from the Ecoparque. The room was clean, spacious, hot water plentiful, and had a comfortable bed. We loved all the artwork, paintings and the many, many areas to hang out and relax. The pool and garden area were beautiful, and the rooftop terrace with a view to the lagoon was where we enjoyed coffee every morning. Welcome treats, water refill stations, and the friendly dogs and cats on the property were added perks. There was an issue with our air conditioner partway through our stay and were upgraded to a suite. All of the staff, family & owners were so friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend staying here!!

I always love staying at Casa Chukum. My favorite part of the experience is the friendly and personal connection that the staff and owners bring into every interaction. They truly care and want us to enjoy our time in Bacalar. The breakfast is delicious as well. They have tons of games and nice places to relax all around the property. Rooftop view of the lagoon is amazing, too!! Rooms are clean, quiet and relaxing.
