Luxurious Home Away from Home We spent a week at The Abbotsford Hotel, and it was just lovely. Our rooms were absolutely stunning—the Brèagha suite was elegant, cozy, and beautifully designed with a luxurious four-poster bed, rich fabrics, and thoughtful details and the Whiskey room was gorgeously moody, set in dark rich tones, with a large comfortable bed and beautiful little design touches throughout. It truly felt like a home away from home for all of us, but with all the indulgence of a five-star stay. Breakfast was delicious every morning and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. If you’re looking for a place that’s stylish, relaxing, and truly special, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

Had the pleasure of attending a friend’s birthday party over the weekend. What a great night was had! Decorated beautifully, yummy buffet, amazing staff and a friend whose smile never left her all night. That said it all. The restaurant meal (pre-party) was also delicious. Looking forward to returning!

Stayed for 2 nights for a friends birthday party. I arrived at 0130 am after a horrendous journey to be greeted warmly, even that late at night, by the hotel porter and owner, shown to my room and given bottled water and an insulated bottle of milk for the morning coffee. The hotel has been stunningly decorated, and my golf themed twin room was quirky and comfortable. A cafetiere and real coffee were provided along with an egg timer for the perfect brew. Breakfast was included and had a good range of choice. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The function room for the evening party was beautifully laid out and catering fabulous. Overall incredibly good value for money, felt like a really luxury stay at an affordable price. 100% will be returning.

My husband and I have just spent a wonderful 2 nights at the Abbotsford Hotel in Ayr. The hotel has recently been refurbished and has been done with great taste and style. Our room, The Whisky Room, was large and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. They have put great thought into everything they provide in the room - slippers, dressing gowns, tea, coffee and shortbread, toiletries, etc,etc. We had a 3 course dinner there both night which was very nice, as was breakfast. The staff were delightful and nothing was too much bother for them. We would highly recommend this hotel. It is also very well placed for visiting the NTS Robert Burns centre and all the Burns related places . We walked to it from the hotel as we love walking- and it was a dry day ! Close to the sea front as well.

Been twice to the Abbotsford. r Refreshingly restored to some of its former charm. A nice cozy bar with fire too. We went for an evening meal on our last occasion. Three of us, friends. I had a haggis bon bon starter, Which to be fair was really small if not tasty. My main course was steak pie, unfortunately although tasty, there was quite a lot of grissle, Which spoiled it a little for me. However, my partner and her friend enjoyed their meal immensely. Just thought the starter was quite expensive for such a small amount. Small plates for your mains too. But overall a lovely experience. Do check out the small cozy bar just for drinks with friends.

We stayed one night in The Hairy Coo room it was Beautiful decorated Warm & absolutely spotless. We had dinner that evening in the restaurant & it was delicious, Breakfast in the morning was the same . The staff were very attentive & we had great chat with them (especially the young lady from Donegal) . After our journey to Edinburgh we returned on the Sunday for lunch & again it was delicious we were served by Mary she was a delight ... We are booked again for September (Can't wait) Thankyou all 😍

I cannot fault our stay. The hotel room (the thistle room) is absolutely stunning. The bed is super comfortable and the pillows are perfect. I suffer from chronic pain and more often than not, staying at a hotel is not a pleasant experience BUT I could literally move in here!! Sheets are a superb thread count. Shower is powerful and towels are lovely and soft. Breakfast was wonderful. I will never book anywhere else when we come to Ayr. HIGHLY RECOMMEND *****

Booked a last minute overnight stay. Lovely hotel, rooms have been recently refurbished very comfortable. Had a meal in the restaurant and breakfast the following morning. Both excellent especially the cooked breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if back in Ayrshire.

Stunningly designed rooms with sumptuous comfort, I highly recommend The Abbotsford, it's something else. The breakfast was delicious with the best coffee served in a beautiful dining room with a fire. Why not try for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
