強烈推薦住宿這裏。肯定要給滿分。因為這對房東夫妻非常熱情好客，人非常好，服務超預期。周圍院子弄得很漂亮，種了不少花草和果樹。從院子可以看到大海。房間也非常乾淨，舒適。除了沒有空調。剛到時有免費鮮榨果汁和酒可以選擇，他們的鮮榨果汁非常好喝，別的地方是喝不到的。如果有可能，儘量點他們的自製晚餐。我們早上看到郵件太晚了，沒能按時點晚餐。一定要品嚐他們的自製鮮榨果汁，自製酸奶，自製果醬。不然一定會後悔的哦。

We had a delightful stay at Awatuna Sunset Lodge. Elizabeth and Selwyn are magnificent hosts. Elizabeth’s meals were delicious and the presentation and attention to detail was exceptional. All products were home grown, local and home made. Best coffee we’ve had in NZ! The beds were super comfortable with a selection of pillows. Selwyn took us to the beach in his Argo and his adventure guiding days kicked back in! It was a thrill a minute. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks again Elizabeth & Selwyn for your wonderful hospitality.

We stayed 2 nights and it was amazing! Elizabeth and Selwyn made us feel completely at home and we loved the location! The meals cooked by Elizabeth were some of the best we have had and nothing seemed to ever be any trouble. The rooms were great, bed extremely comfortable, clean and the view was sensational of the beach. Falling asleep to the sound of the sea was both soothing and relaxing. Selwyn’s tour in the Argo was great, with lots of local and nature information provided - a wealth of knowledge! Followed with drinks and canapés on the verandah watching the sunset. Would thoroughly recommend for a visit and stay at this premium accomodation, with the wonderful hosts Elizabeth and Selwyn.

We had been told by friends that if going to NZ we HAD TO stay here! And now I am saying the same thing to anyone I know headed to the West Coast, South Island. Actually, it's worth a long detour if you are anywhere else.... Accomodation was fabulous -- the rooms well appointed and superbly comfortable whether on the ocean side or not. Loved the separate kitchen and deck areas/hot tub. While the physical beauty of the location counted for much, the gracious hospitality and wonderful food were hardly secondary. Our sunset excursion on the beach was a highlight of our entire trip! Enthusiastically recommend you tarry for more than one night, we were disappointed to have to leave....

Can’t speak highly enough about Awatuna Sunset Lodge. But most importantly, it was our hosts, Elizabeth and Selwyn who really make this a memorable stay. Elizabeth is a wonderful chef and they are both so dang friendly. We even left an iPad behind and they managed to remember our itinerary for that day and called the zip line place to let them know we’d left it behind. Again, location perfect, food amazing, experience and people extraordinary

We totally enjoyed our 2 day break at Awatuna Sunset lodge. This unique luxury haven was the perfect way of finishing up our busy hiking holiday in the South Island. We found Elizabeth and Selwyn’s hospitality to be very generous and we were welcomed like family. Their beachside setting on the Wild West coast is stunning and Elizabeth’s cooking provided us with gourmet meals from her garden or locally sourced produce. We could more highly recommend a stay here.

What a delightful surprise when I arrived at Awatuna Sunset Lodge. The view of the beach is stunning. Elizabeth and Selwyn go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are well appointed and a good size. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep to the sound of the sea. Breakfast is delicious with homemade bread, jams and Hollandaise sauce. The full cooked breakfast is a feast with fresh free range eggs from their own chickens. Coffee is freshly ground and made from a commercial coffee machine. It was the best espresso I had in New Zealand. I had a 2 night stay and I will definitely stay 3 nights or more when I come back.

A very relaxing stay in a beautiful location just outside Hokitika. Elizabeth and Selwyn were fabulous hosts. The rooms are super comfortable, even to the point that there is a selection of pillows available should you need to change them to one of your preference - we didn’t as they were perfect. All the food was cooked from scratch, including bread, gelato and jams. Coffee was excellent. Breakfasts were superb. Nothings was too much trouble. We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. There’s plenty to do in the area, including Punakiki, Seal Colony, Hokitika Gorge, Hokitika beach and of course, enough time should be saved to experience the trip on Selwyn’s amphibious vehicle across the creek onto the beach at Awatuna. Great fun! Book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Pure hospitality by proprietors Elizabeth and Selwyn… every detail from greeting to g’bye was crafted to perfection and delivered with authentic passion for hospitality. Gorgeous property with divine views and flora. Don’t miss the complimentary 8 wheeler experience! Clean, comfortable, charming decor. Luxurious linens and bath products were appreciated, along with robes and hot tub spa under the stars. We actually went off our GF diet because… the bread!!! Pizza heaven, magic mousaka paired with great wine and beer. And of course… morning cappuccino ! A west coast highlight and delight.
