We stayed at Camel Valley Resort from June 6 to 8, 2025, with high expectations, especially as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by a series of issues that turned what should have been a joyful getaway into a frustrating and exhausting stay. Upon arrival around 11:30 AM, we were assigned Room 117, which had severe seepage problems. We requested a change immediately but had to wait over 1.5 hours to be moved to Room 417. This was especially difficult as we were tired and hungry from our journey. Sadly, Room 417 had no hot water, and a serious drainage issue caused water to flood the bathroom. Though a plumber was sent, he never returned, and despite our repeated follow-ups, the problem remained unresolved for hours. Our entire afternoon was wasted waiting for help that never came. Later in the evening, we reached out to meet someone from the management team. Mr. Sagar, the Assistant Front Office Manager, responded promptly and was genuinely apologetic. He arranged for a third room (Room 518) around 6:30 PM. While this room was better, it too had minor seepage. By this time, we were too exhausted to raise further concerns or change rooms again. The following morning, we were woken early by a loud noise from the AC. The remote wasn’t working, and switching off the main power left us with no fans or lights. To make matters worse, the AC was leaking water onto the bed and floor. Despite repeated calls to housekeeping, our concerns were ignored. Before arrival, I had communicated with Ms. Khekasha (Assistant Reservation Manager) regarding birthday arrangements—a complimentary room decoration and a small cake—which were confirmed by her. I reminded Mr. Sagar on June 6 as well. However, on the day, reception had no idea, and I was told to call the restaurant, where staff were also unaware. This lack of coordination and broken promise was deeply disappointing. The only silver lining was our dining experience. Mr. Vivek Manohar from the dining team went out of his way to turn things around. After learning of our troubles, he ensured the birthday cake was arranged and made every meal experience pleasant with his professional and caring attitude. His service truly stood out and made us feel valued. As someone from the hospitality industry myself, I understand the importance of guest experience. While the property has potential and the location is good, the lack of maintenance, poor coordination, and slow response to guest issues were major letdowns. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works toward the much-needed improvements. If you’re considering a stay here, I would strongly recommend confirming all arrangements and checking room conditions in advance to avoid disappointment.
