We came to hike in the Cairngrom National Park for 3 days and stayed in one of the Armadillos which has a built in bathroom and kitchen sink and refrigerator. We opted to have Gill’s lovely breakfast every morning before the hike. For $15/person it gave us the energy for the whole day. We also took her homemade muffins on the hike…..Ken was very friendly and helpful checking us in and provided much needed instructions on the Armadillo. We’ll definitely come back to stay if we are in the area again.

We had a fantastic stay in a great location, just 20 minutes from the town centre and tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Brilliant wee place it was brilliant to stay in the wee hut. It was very charming, clean and cozy for myself and my better half. The owners were very helpful and friendly and gave us good local knowledge about good pubs and lovely walks to take. The optional breakfast was fantastic and they were able to accommodate to our dietary needs.

Ken and Gill are the perfect hosts! Cook to order breakfast, amazing coffee, and pastries. We were heading to Skye after our stay and Ken gave us a route that we thoroughly enjoyed! Coos on the side of the road, waterfall hikes, and a trip around Loch Ness were included in his advice. Do not hesitate to stay at this amazing property.

We have done a few other glamping trips before, so we are familiar with the uniqueness of these places. Our little pod was comfy; tho we had a bit of a dampness issue the next day upon return from our day of activity. The weather had definitely been wet, so probably not unexpected; however getting the dampness out took some extra time of keeping the door open all night and the heater turned up. The hosts did give us another duvet comfort cover to replace the original; we still had a damp smell for part of the evening. Overall, the stay was nice, the breakfast was exceptional, the hosts are very lovely and friendly.
