這是一座歐式古典風格的民宿，管家是奧克蘭本地人，一位幽默睿智的長者。在這裡能夠感受到友善，熱情和舒適，沉浸式的感受新西蘭人的生活～ 環境：細節看圖就夠了，一棟歐式老房子，客廳餐廳客房都是滿滿的時代感，住在這裏就像童話中公主的房間。民宿位於奧克蘭CBD區域中安靜的小路旁，距離奧克蘭大學有一個小公園，兼具了安靜和便利。 設施：房間有一定的年代感，設施略微陳舊，部分房間有獨立衞浴但是僅有屏風隔擋，部分房間衹有公用浴室。這是房子少有的不足，但考慮房間的年代和裝修風格可以理解。 衞生：雖然設施陳舊但房間衞生很乾凈，主人很用心的打掃，不會有令人不滿意的地方。 服務：服務完全超出預期，主人風趣幽默喜歡跟客人聊天。早餐是典型的英式早餐，提供沙拉、烤麪包和各種果醬，還會提供煎蛋和培根，根據客人的需要定製，能夠感受到主人滿滿的用心。 餐廳旁的世界地圖上滿滿的客人足跡，足以説明這裏的友善、包容、和舒適。如果想要體驗新西蘭當地人的悠閑生活，強烈推薦，但如果希望更現代標準化的住宿可能要再考慮考慮了～

在奧克蘭市區的幾天，一直住在John的家裡，這是一棟當地政府標記的保護建築，英式傳統的裝修風格，全世界收集回來的傢俱和瓷器，以及John本人熱情地招待，都為我們這對老夫老妻的澳新旅程增添了美好的回憶。

一座老宅子，一位老先生，一衹可愛的小狗，一羣來自世界各地的朋友，一起度過一段短暫的時光，旅途的意義不就是如此嘛

房子太美了…古典美……坐落位置安全又安靜…徒步去奧克蘭大學鐘樓和皇後街都比較方便…室內乾淨 床墊也舒服…最關鍵是房東特別友善…幫忙免費停車 這個在奧克蘭市區太難得了…也告知了很多實用旅行訊息…

John, the owner was very welcoming. He met us at the door, offered to help us carry our things then gave us a tour of the place. We had free wine and beers in our room. FREE Breakfast the next day was full on - cereals, fresh fruits, toasted bread, jams, yoghurt, bacon, eggs and brewed coffee. How perfect was that! My husband and I stayed at the Victorian room. Overall, the experience was great.

Wonderful historic property in a great location. Lots of character in the accommodation, but quite comfortable and authentic to the period. John is an enthusiastic host with many stories about the area and lots of good recommendations about things to do/places to see. He really went out of his way to attend to our needs, including giving us a ride to pick up our rental car. We also enjoyed visiting with him and his friend about the state of the universe! Staying at Braemar is a memorable experience that is totally removed from the blandness of conventional chain hotels. We loved it.

John was the perfect host! The house has so much history and he was very informative and knowledgeable. The rooms are gorgeous, and have everything that you need. The bed is super comfortable too! House is nice had central and even had a an allocated parking space. Highly, highly recommend 👌

This is a beautiful historic house in the heart of Auckland, close to a beautiful park, very quiet and convenient to downtown. The very kind and friendly host John is a fount of local knowledge and good stories. We had a wonderful time, so glad we stayed here.

A historic home in the heart of the city. Simple and tasteful without being fussy as so many B&Bs are. But the best feature is John who maneuvered my large van in and out of a tight parking lot, shared the history of the city of which he is so proud and served as a taxi for a guest staying to visit a relative in the hospital. Amazing.

This an historic house run as a B&B by a caring owner who makes you feel at home. It is not a hotel with all the facilities you expect but it has charm and a helpful owner who goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable. It is in a nice area only a short walk uphill from the coast and main shops.

John was so helpful and so interested in us having a really good time in his B&B Location is really central and free parking is a big advantage in Auckland. John gave us a very generous breakfast of fresh fruit salad and cereals,yogurts and toast, followed by a delicious cooked breakfast with filter coffee or tea . Free tea and coffee making facilities are available throughout your stay Complimentary wine as well !

John and Mel are just the most lovely hosts! my husband and i stayed here for 1 night and were warmly greeted with over the top hospitality that made us feel right at home and comfortable! The historical home is beautiful, and the breakfast was so tasty! John was super knowledgable about NZ sights and points of interest- it was great to hear the story and history of the house as well!

A charming bed and breakfast in an older Auckland building. We rented the victorian suite which was quite large and well furnished. The tub and toilet are not totally private but the shared bathroom was just next door and readily available. Breakfasyt was great,fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal,juice and hot eggs and bacon prepared to your liking. John, the host, was extremely helpful and we enjoyed conversations with him. The location is great, about 10-15 minute to downtown or the domain. We walked to most places and took an Uber back (8.8o NZD or under 5 USD) to get home because it is mostly uphill back.

Amazing historic house that is centrally located and within walking distance of uni and downtown. Friendly and very helpful host.
