Just home from a fabulous day and night at the Wineport Lodge. From the moment we stepped inside we were treated amazingly! All the little things really made this trip special for a reunion with friends, the attention to details, helpful and friendly staff and the overall feeling of complete relaxation exceeded expectations! A special mention to the fabulous young man Shane who looked after us outside with the sauna and hot tubs, he really couldn’t do enough for us and his friendly nature, smile and helpfulness really stood out and a credit to him. Can’t wait to go back!

Went for a night for or 10 year wedding anniversary. Views beautiful food stunning,room beautiful. The only thing was we were woken up at 5.10am because of staff in the room next door setting up table and chairs for a conference then next morning. We could not get back to sleep and we were wrecked the next morning. Said it to the lady on reception and I think the owner came out and took 50 euro off the bill . Thought they might have offered us a night again as we did not get any sleep in a hotel that is renowned for relaxation.

Moored at the jetty and booked dinner. Wow what a fantastic experience, from the young lad who took our ropes to Adam the bartender who made super pre dinner cocktails. We were so comfortable in the bar Adam gave us the option to dine there and choose from either or both of the bar or restaurant menus. Dinner itself was delicious, super tasty fish and lamb were so good. Bar staff were excellent throughout the evening.

The friendly service is the best we have received anywhere, nothing is too much trouble. It is apparent from the very low staff turn over that the staff feel valued and are well trained. The food was excellent and the room was comfortable and stylish. We are over from the UK so won’t be able to pop in for a short stay but would certainly return if we are in the area again.

Wow. A fabulous and very special family celebration. Enjoyed the hot tub and sauna (very cosy in a blustery misty eve, incl lake dio!). Highly recommend. Dinner in the lakeside restaurant...where it actually feels like you are on the river. Fabulous, food, atmosphere and service. Wonderful memories.

Fabulous from start to finish the staff were so lovely so welcoming on arrival they couldn’t do enough for us during our stay here. Room were spotlessly clean. Food was so beautiful, wonderful views so picturesque It’s a well deserved 10/10 from us 👍

Check in was warm friendly and welcoming as were ALL the staff throughout our special occasion stay. The room was clean but disappointing as it was very small but well kitted out with a ground floor Lakeview. Activities are spartan with no Lakeshore walks as might be expected - lake hot tub seems to the only thing on offer @60 per couple. The dining room is very nice but the food alas did not meet the brief - it was nice but lacked flavour and the desserts were very poor. The lounge is small and very quiet with absolutely no entertainment. Not recommended for children unless babies - we would not recommend to family or friends to stay here - the Sheraton Athlone offers a lot more as experienced the previous night - especially our room. Good but not great and definitely not worth the price.

We stayed here last weekend, I had got this stay as a birthday gift and to stay it exceeded my expectations is a understatement, from check in to dining staff to bar staff they are all amazing the most friendliest staff I have ever came across in a hotel, no stone goes unturned in this place they think of everything if your sitting outside at night they bring you a blanket, the morning newspaper comes with breakfast, the rooms are beautiful with a lovely view of the lake beds are so comfortable, the food is beautiful in the restaurant as in the breakfast 100 percent will be back
