I had such high hopes for this hotel. My comments are not meant to disparage but rather to bring attention to what needs to be improved about this hotel and staff. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by two polite valet drivers. Once I entered the property I was impressed the structure and decor. It is a beautiful hotel which houses an elegant restaurant. There was a young man who checked me in I believe his name is Eli. I do not know if he was filling in for someone or if he was part of management. He did not come across as someone trained/experienced in guest centric hospitality. Upon pressing the button for the elevator, I could hear what sounded like a freight train sound. I was not sure if I should step inside. My room was on the third floor, it had high ceilings and an aesthetic decor but a very strange layout. No closets yet the ceiling appear to have been 25 ft. The fridge, luggage area, mini bar, coffee machine and handing rack are all wedged in a corner with a semi curtain within 2 ft of the bed. Not a deal breaker for me since the room was quite pleasing. I could hear people talking down the hall which concerned me. I decided to eat at their Osteria Olio restaurant since they have a wonderful lounge, bar and restaurant. The menu was appealing but unfortunately, the food presentation and quality was not!! I ordered a pasta dish with a single meatball which had a mouth watering profile on their menu. The dish was served promptly in what I can only describe as a pile of fusilli dipped in a ketchup reduction with a mound of of meat resembling a meat ball. Presentation was similar to a cafeteria buffet. Not Good!!! I ordered a salad as well which was prepared with the same lack of effort as the pasta. The salad was full of iceberg lettuce chunks with a saving grace of dressing. Once I called it quits at the restaurant, I retired back to my room to relax with a hot shower and warm bed.... or so I thought. My beautiful room with the high ceilings was ice cold. I attempted to turn the heat on but it would not initiate. After waiting about 20 min, I called the young man at the front desk and ask if he could instruct me on how to operate the thermostat. His response was "just press it until you see a half crescent moon, that is all I know what to tell you regarding how it works". I followed his instructions but the heat would not turn on. He offered NO help or solutions. I asked if he could send someone from maintenance. He informed me there was no one from maintenance working until 11 am the following day. I asked if I could speak with his supervisor, he responded that she would probably not respond to his call. I asked if he could please move me to another room. He finally agreed to try and operate the heat in another room in order to move me. This young man left me waiting, never got back to me. I called and asked if he could move me to the other room to which he replied, the heat was not working in that room o
