Booked as we were visiting family in the area, and was told it was cheap and cheerful. It was definitely cheap and definitely not cheerful. Damp, very small, with a horrible dirty shower room and toilet. Hairdryer broken, ridiculous heating control with just a hole to press a button to try to heat a little bit more through a filthy radiator. The bed looked clean, but didn't dare look at the mattress. Just went to sleep and didn't touch anything more than needed as there was so much grime and dust. Will never go back. Pay a little more, and stay somewhere decent.

I have not been anywhere this unpleasant since my son left his university shared house! It had por facilities, was very cheaply and poorly furnished and not clean. (the bathroom and bed were clean which is why I stayed ) there is no host, you collect your key from a box next to the room, and peremptory notes from the owner which do not generate any sort of welcome. I will never stay here again and don't recommend you do either !

These are fantastic rooms,Everything you could possibly need to have for a few days break. We had all the rooms as a family and all of them were clean,airy and perfect for us all.we had one family with two children their room was perfect,one room with couple and a baby ,they all fitted perfect and my elderly mother and other daughter was in a room and everything in their room catered for them ..Our room was a lovely room also .we could not hear our own children in other rooms . Lucy the owner was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

We stayed at findon rest for four nights whilst visiting family in the area. The room was really cosy and warm, had everything we needed and the owners were always on hand if required. The surrounding location is stunning with good walks and a couple of great pubs in the village. Would highly recommend👍

I wish I could give them negative stars. My room was given to someone else without my knowledge. I reach the room at 11:48 pm after a eventful and tiring day at work and needed to just rest but these guys had other plan to ruin my night. Had to book an alternate hotel at a very expensive price which I was lucky to find or else I would be sleeping in my car. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I have demanded a full refund as a minimum and will wait for it. I don’t want any explanations. You guys just ruined my weekend.

The good: Easy contactless check in with clear instructions to obtaining keys. Quiet village location was ideal for the local sports event we were attending. Plenty of roadside parking. Room for improvement: The mattress was low quality- we kept rolling together in the middle dip and the pillows were lumpy. General attention to details like dirty finger prints on the backs of doors, empty drinks cans & DIY materials in entrance, loud mininfridge, damp marks on the blinds, upcycled furniture with marks/chips etc are quick fixes that didnt impact our stay but overall made the place feel a little tired.
