Rivertrees Country Inn

Beautiful resort with amazing rooms, the food was delicious and we were helped greatly by everyone and especially Rashid, who was our waiter.

I can honestly say zero photos or videos do this place justice. It is truly beautiful. Think tranquil, tropical, jungle bush setting. Lots of space and privacy with only 34 huts across the ten acres. Lots of trees and cute monkeys. The staff are exceptional and so very happy. All the food that we had left us practically clearing and licking our plates. Special thanks to Rashid who served us and was so kind to recommend a very yummy local dish. Also this is where you will eat for your stay (there are no shops or cafes around unless you want to head into a small village) and they have ample of yummy food available for you all day and happy to accomodate you. We had a river room and enjoyed the sounds of the river from our room . And i need to mention how gorgeous Our bedroom is! The bed was extremely comfy and the pillows were nice and supportive too. We fell into bed and crashed ! On a side note which some people find important. The shower temp and pressure was spot on and we had all the bathroom supplies we needed . Small hiccup at the end. Wireless eftpos wasn’t working so always make sure you have cash with you

Rivertrees Country Inn is an absolute gem! We felt so fortunate to stay here two nights before embarking on a ten day Safari. The accommodations are beautiful as are the exquisite grounds. The food is “ top notch” and the service impeccable. Everyone at Rivertrees goes out of their way to make your stay special - the turndown service, the spa, the gift shop, the bar and the restaurant. One night there was a wonderful singing duo as well as happy hour pricing. Rivertrees is one of those places you wish you could go back to periodically to just relax and rejuvenate. We would highly recommend to any age group as many activities and spaces for younger children as well as areas to explore nature and seek serenity for adults. It never felt crowded and every person was made to feel special.

My family and I stayed here before starting our safari, and it was such a great way to start our Tanzanian adventure. So much fun watching the monkeys in the trees above as you hike around the beautiful grounds or relax by the pool. The cabins were so beautifully designed inside and out. I would recommend taking a guided bicycle ride thru the nearby village. We sat at the bar every night for dinner and had great food and service. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful hotel! Very clean and beautiful setting. The staff was great, especially Issa, our waiter and Freddie, our bike tour guide. The food was delicious and they always made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend spending a few days here.

We started our safari here straight from JRO and the staff was very accomodating of our early arrival. We were greeted with with towels to freshen up and delicious hibiscus juice. They held our bags and arranged a wonderful coffee tour for us to do while we waited for our room to become available. The rooms were very comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. Would love an opportunity to stay here again.
