We stayed for the first time at Blatter's Bellavista, for two nights. And we loved it - is an understatement. We were upgraded for free to a corner room - and much enjoyed to be woken up by the sun in the morning. The balcony - private - and looking into the trees mountains, simply outstanding! The charm of the hotel is a perfect combination of the old building (approx. 100 years old) and most modern upgrade. The staff is very friendly and helpful - we had some unfortunate luck during our first dinner, but it was very well managed by the owner and staff, and the second dinner was perfect. We also much enjoyed the spa and pool area, a decent size indoor pool and please treat yourself for a nice massage! We will be back!

We had planned to stay here and therefore agreed to pay a CHF 300 deposit which they happily and easily took thru our credit card. Well (we thought regrettably) we were not able to go so we cancelled our reservation well in advance of the cancellation deadline. When we asked to just put the credit on our credit card somehow they lost their ability to transact on a credit card and claimed they could only refund to a checking account. While I gave them all the information, I also advised them that I thought it would be a problem since our account is in dollars. Well nothing ever arrived and when asked was only told it was difficult to send money to the US. So I finally gave up and went to our credit card company who quickly resolved the problem to our satisfaction.

Awful Experience – Avoid This Hotel! This hotel is nothing like what it advertises on Tripadvisor or Booking or website. We booked a “Superior Double Room South Side” with a big window and mountain views, but got a depressing room with small window and a view of dead trees. When we asked for the room we booked, the administrator rudely dismissed us, saying the hotel is 120 years old and rooms vary. The restaurant was equally disappointing. This hotel is outdated, overpriced, and poorly managed. We left much earlier. Don’t waste your time and money!

The trip from Chur to Arosa by train is an enchantment, and the enchantment continued when we arrived at the hotel. We just wanted to have a relaxing week-end, away from it all, preferably in lovely surroundings preferably involving a tasty dinner. This is exactly what we found at Blatter's Bellavista ! The hotel is full of charm, decorated in a lovely alpine chalet theme. We had a cozy room with fantastic views on the mountains which we could admire from the chaises longues on our private balcony. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom spotless. We had an excellent dinner at "Le Petit" , the restaurant of the hotel. Everybody at the hotel from the receptionists to the grooms and the waiters at the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful, it was like staying at friends' or family

As in the title we were very happy with the staff and their efforts. All very friendly and polite. Hotel location is perfect for skiing and private shuttle available as needed. Good to mention is the the availability and promotion of local drinks and food. Despite we enjoyed the drinks some of the dishes were rather not meeting our taste and portion size is rather on the „smaller“ side. Sauna was fine as well as steam bath but not easy to find. Pool is for the kids - was not really inviting. Some areas could accept a little renovation especially the carpet.

The stay can just be fine, as long as you don't have to deal with the general manager, who was very unpolite! The food is very good, the location is great and the mountain view is breathtaking. However I need to point out that the prices are outrageous - the prices at the bar are exaggerated. I would no recommend this hotel. In my opinion, this is not a true 4-star hotel. Feeling like having thrown money down the drain!

owner canceld an existing e-mail confimed booking for 3 adults as he can not accept 3 adults in one room . I did not know dicrimination still exists in Switzerland ... it remembers me the time when snowborders where not welcome in Arosa ... nothing to add

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here recently. The staff was excellent and so very helpful, especially since we did not speak German. They were very friendly and quite helpful with all of our many questions. Their driver was absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to work with. The rooms were fabulous and the views from the balcony phenomenal. We will plan on coming back here again!
