Manuia Beach Resort

Our travel agent book this resort for use. We had a garden room, very spacious and clean with an outside shower. The gardens and the pool/ beach area are stunning, and the staff do a great job keeping it clean a tidy. The resort is close to other resorts, restaurants, and across the road is a dairy and a rental car/ bike business. Overall, we enjoyed the stay, take some mozzie spray and ear plugs for the roosters.

Another visit to this beautiful resort,albeit 15 years later.Still as peaceful and a pleasure to stay.There is no tv or radio, so a good time to relax under the palm trees with a book.The food was great and we worked our way through the menu,ceviche was one of my favourite dishes.We were woken most mornings by the warbly tones of local roosters.Hermit crabs seen scurrying along the paths in the morning.Beautiful tidy garden.The staff couldn’t do enough to make stay a pleasure.

We came to Manuia Beach Resort for the restaurant. The OTB restaurant was where we had delicious food on our last trip to Rarotonga, and we wanted to stay here. The resort is well set out with a pool, restaurant on site, and reception manned daily. It is good to be met at the airport with a free shuttle to the resort, even when it is late at night. We liked the local coffee in the room, space to put suitcases, the desk with a chair and the robes in the cupboard. Reception staff were extremely helpful and gave good advice on local things to see and do. The lagoon at the front of the hotel was full of fish, great for first time snorkeling. I really enjoyed the free breakfasts, free wi-fi and great chance to relax by the pool (although the sea was warmer than the pool). The fire show exceeded expectations and was well worth the price. As we were guests at the resort, we had great seats inside the restaurant to view the show. Loved the free cocktails and nibbles on a Wednesday. A great chance to meet other people staying at the resort. A great book exchange in the guest lounge meant we could swap books. Be aware with the outside shower that if you get a tropical storm, as we did, then the room may flood. Overall it was a nice place to stay. On the bus route, opposite a dairy and with helpful, friendly staff.

We've just had the best week at the manuia the service,the staff and cleanliness were top rate! I love the way the manuia integrated in to nature it's a very relaxing place nothings a problem. We saw whales chilling on the sun louger one afternoon! I would highly recommend!

Great place to stay if you don’t want somewhere too “resorty” . Lovely staff, v helpful, everything clean and tidy. Snorkelling right outside isn’t great but easy to get to all locations if you hire a scooter (or car) nice having several good eating options within walking distance. OTB restaurant adjacent was superb. Small enough to feel special.

The stand out for this resort is the excellent customer service and very enjoyable entertainment in the restaurant on Friday & Saturday night. I had a private garden room at the back of the resort which was very clean and comfortable, however a little dated. I wasn’t quite prepared for the 4am wake up call from the roosters, the slightly funky smell from the drains of the outdoor shower ( there was no indoor shower) nor the giant cockroaches that invaded after dark ( very grateful for the supply of bug spray to sort them out!). The restaurant and small pool were beachside with a lovely outlook. Water was filtered so fine to use. Top tip- turn on the outside light or take a small torch or your phone when you go to dinner, the resort isn’t very well lit at night. The airport transport shuttle was easy & efficient and I caught the bus to go around the island from outside the gate with no problems.
