From the very beginning of my initial correspondence with Philippe I knew that his hotel was going to be great. He was very helpful, via email, in assisting me plan my trip, and in arranging bike hire with Tourmalet Bikes (who delivered my bike promptly on the evening I arrived for my 7-night cycling trip). Au Primerose Hotel is very bright and airy, and exceptionally clean inside and out. There are great, secure bike storage facilities at the back of the hotel. My room was air-conditioned, clean and airy, and soundproofed also. I slept well the entire time and was happily very comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful each morning, with bread, croissants, yoghurt, bananas, coffee etc. and a good selection of healthy cereals. A special thankyou to the cheerful lady who served the tables each morning and offered me 'jambon et fromage' with a lovely smile :-). Dinner was three different courses each evening, freshly prepared, well designed and just the right amount of food. As a solo traveller it was great to meet so many different nationalities and chat over breakfast and dinner, with cyclists and non-cyclists, of all ages. The area around Argeles-Gazost is extremely beautiful, surrounded by mountains and within reach of all of the amazing cols. It is a short bus ride from Lourdes and so very convenient in getting to and from Lourdes and the local airport. A glass of wine in the town square each afternoon after a bike ride was very enjoyable. All of this made for an exceptional cycling trip. I really enjoyed my stay. Philippe is a very pleasant and helpful man, who is eager to ensure is fine, always showing interest in my day's adventures. Fabulous hotel - really geared up for cyclists including great healthy meals, and secure storage for bikes. Very comfortable well appointed rooms and such comfy beds. Philippe and his team couldn’t have done more to make us feel more welcome; nothing was too much trouble. A perfect place to stay in the Pyrenees for a cycling holiday! Thank you Philippe and team.

PRIM'ROSE HOTEL : The place to be for cyclists in Argeles ! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴 3 cyclistes bretons enchantés par leur séjour. Philou et sa charmante épouse sont très disponibles et se mettent en 4 pour satisfaire tous vos besoins. Idéalement situé au pieds des magnifiques cols pyrénéens, l'hotel dispose d'un local sécurisé pour les vélos. Chambre triple confortable et bien étudiée. Cuisine Maison et Équilibrée tout comme les massages de Françoise !🤣 Tarifs préférentiels pour la balneo à proximité. Possibilité de prendre une douche le jour du départ après le vélo. Un hôtel pensé pour les cyclistes! Nous recommandons !👍

We booked 6 nights half board at Au Primerose as a base for a cycling trip after reading about it online. We would highly recommend it as a base for exploring the mountains. Convenient location and easily able to walk into the town centre. Great amenities for cycling including secure bike storage, cleaning facilities, clothes washing area and drying line. Rooms were simple but clean and also had air con which was welcome this summer. We chose the half board package and were not disappointed by the amount of food each morning and evening. The choice is limited but you can request different items if having dietary requirements. The drinks were favourably priced. Phillippe is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and can advise on cycling and walking routes. All the staff were friendly. Argeles Gazost is well located to explore many of the famous Pyrenees climbs. We will definitely return to explore the mountains further and will not hesitate to stay at Au Primerose again.

C'est la 5ème année que nous venons faire un séjour à l'hôtel AU PRIMEROSE d'Argelès Gazost (2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2024) L'accueil y est toujours au top, et c'est pour ça que nous y revenons régulièrement en demi-pension ... on s'y sent "comme chez nous" ! Philippe et Valérie sont à l'écoute et à nos petits soins, et toujours avec discrétion Les chambres sont "nickel", ainsi que l'ensemble de l'hôtel ! On y mange bien, et le personnel est agréable ... Un hôtel-restaurant d'un très bon rapport qualité-prix, que nous conseillons vivement !
