Vibra Blanc Cottage Apartamentos

We booked a 14 night holiday here. We were a bit worried reading some of the reviews however we have had a great time. Our apartment was directly opposite the pool and we was upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom (we only paid for a 1 bedroom) our apartment was basic but had a kettle and a 2 ring hob which was perfect as we went half board. Food was amazing and you cannot fault it for variety. Our little one loved it! Everyone at the hotel was friendly especially Martin! The pool was great for little kids & the kids club however they have to be age 4+ so we had to accompany our 3 year old but was nice to go in and have a play. It is a very quiet part of the island which we actually enjoyed but highly recommend renting a car. We had a car for the fortnight and managed to see most of the island. No restaurants or cafes local but this didn't affect us as half board. Would definitely return here for a quiet break!

When we arrived at reception we were greeted with a smile and the staff member was very polite and to our surprise our apartment was ready for us and this was about lunch time, the walk to the apartment was okay but it felt like ages with a child and all of our bags but the main complex was closed so that was expected, when we arrived at our apartment it was clean and tidy but a bit dated we found that our balcony door wouldn't lock and we were on the ground floor so we wanted security because we were facing the road, they came within an hour and the fridge was dirty and they took out the old one and replaced it with a new fridge we couldn't fault the work of the maintenance man, the pool was fantastic was abit cold but it was nice to swim in and the kids pool with the slides was amazing our daughter played in it all day everyday while we were there, normally kids club isnt something we put our daughter into while abroad but the kids club was all glass so you could see in there by sitting by the pool and our daughter came out with drawings and face painting which she loved, the lunch food from the pool bar was great not to badly priced either, the drink were on the pricey side for example a malibu and coke was 8 euros so we went to the shop down the road and brought drinks from there a bottle of Malibu was 16 euros which lasted us a whole week which obviously worked out alot cheaper, the breakfast from the buffet was okay but the best part for us was the fresh cooked omelettes and crepes/pancakes with nutella yum yum!!!! However dinner wasnt great the food was cold and wasnt much choice for kids especially because our daughter is allergic to tomatoes, by the third night we didnt want to eat there anymore so we ordered takeaways instead. The evening entertainment was okay the kids disco was the same every night but the kids all loved it the entertainment after was okay but felt like there was no atmosphere. But if another cheap deal came up we would go again, and we could like to thank Martin the bar man who you could have a laugh with and was really friendly. The beach which is like a 30 second walk away was breath taking, my husband said that there was fish swimming all around his legs and the water is so clear. The hotel was the exact definition of budget but you get what you pay for which we could not fault so i think the some of the other reviews are a bit harsh.

To sum it up. Room one bed plus sofabed., very spacious. Cleaned every day, towels you have to leave on the floor in bathroom to be renewed. If you need extra toilet roll etc just ask the cleaner, they're very helpful. Pool area is good with snack bar open 10-6 every day. Plus indoor kids club. Activities around the pool aqua aerobics, quizzes, darts and pool competitions etc. Breakfast is plenty and lots of variation. ,€12. served 8-10. Evening meal is ok, pricey at €16 served 7-9 so we either cooked or ate out in Cuitadela. Our rep Beth gave us all the info we needed for everything and also Alexandria the Manager is so nice. Ask her for anything. Mini market is 10/15 mins walk along the road which has basics if needed. Also Diskont hipermarket 15/20 mins walk. We got a taxi back €5. Taxi to Cuitadela is €5/6 euro never any more. Market days are Mon and Fri. Beautiful city day and night. Plenty of restaurants, burger king too. Marina, museum, cathedral is so beautiful lots of shops too which close at 8pm. Beach is 20 seconds from the cottages and is beautiful. Sunbeds are €15 for the day or half price for half day. TBF in October I didn't see anyone taking payment. Lovely walk anywhere as it's all flat. Cala n Bosch is 10 mins in taxi and €14 in taxi. Cala Blanca is 5 mins in taxi. If you're after a layed back holiday and enjoy a stroll then visit here. Would Def come again.
