Syia hotel is a lovely hotel. Above all, the owner is the perfect host and all his recommendations were very helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is convenient, very close to the sea and restaurants. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

A wonderful family hotel led by Marcos, and Dimitra! The loveliest people. The apartments are modern with beautiful fittings and everything you need. Lovely aspects, with attached outdoor areas. I cannot recommend highly enough! 5 stars!!

Syia Hotel in Sougia is een geweldig hotel! Markos is een zeer gastvrije en vriendelijke eigenaar. Hij maakt het je graag naar je zin en geeft goede adviezen. Het hotel en de appartementen/studio's zijn super schoon, zeer goed uitgerust, heerlijke bedden en een prima badkamer. Een heerlijk ontbijt is een optie en dit is zeker een aanrader. Elke kamer heeft een terras of balkon en het uitzicht is mooi. Als je wilt kun je zelf een maaltijd bereiden, maar Sougia heeft genoeg restaurantjes en terrasjes op loopafstand van het hotel. Het hotel heeft een gezellige binnentuin. Er is plek om een eventuele (huur)auto te parkeren. Ook het fijne strand (al dan niet met ligbedjes) is op loopafstand. Sougia is een gezellig en vriendelijk dorp. Wandelen in de bergen is fantastisch in de omgeving, voldoende mogelijkheden vanaf het hotel. Maar ook de Samaria kloof en andere wandelroutes (delen van de E4) liggen om de hoek! Wij kunnen Syia hotel zeer zeker aanraden!! Het is een tophotel.

We had an excellent stay at the Syia Hotel for 4 nights in May. Markos is incredibly helpful, kind and welcoming. He generously shares his knowledge of the area to help his guests. Our room was well furnished, comfortable and very clean. The location is quiet and close to everything. We hope to return!

Marcos is the manager of the Syia Hotel in Sougia, Crete. His warm personality surrounds you as he anticipates every need to ensure a memorable trip. We were on a self-guided hiking trip, and Marcos gave us great tips to avoid the crowds at Samaria Gorge. He is an interesting conversationalist, and we had many diverse talks with him. He arranged for another couple from the hotel to share a cab with us to the Irini Gorge, thereby saving us many Euros. Finally, when we left on our last day, he called our cab and noted that we had left some medication behind. I told him we just couldn’t stand to leave him! The rooms are large, the patios comfortable, and the kitchen fully stocked.We recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights whilst completing a self guided multi day trek in west Crete (organised by Petassos Travel). Put simply it really was an excellent hotel with very spacious, comfortable rooms and the owners made us feel so welcome. The rooms also had facilities for some self catering and the breakfast provided was also lovely which was consumed in a very relaxing environment outside in the patio area. Sougia is a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful unspoilt part of the island and the owner was always available for advise on any aspect of the area. We are residents of the UK and would love to return to this part of Crete and would not hesitate in staying at the Syia Hotel again.

Just back from 4th visit to Sougia - always stay at Syia - clean comfortable hotel 5 minute walk from beach. Marcos is welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and speaks great English. Great value. Great for either a hiking or beach holiday.

Family run mum dad and baby girl very friendly couple and very helpful with any information we needed to know rooms clean and large, bathroom a little small air con and balcony. Breakfast continental good coffee and hard boiled eggs. Taxis booked by owners brother all together very nice 3 nights.

Un hotel semplice a conduzione familiare. Gli Studios sono spaziosi, accoglienti, e puliti. Marcos parla un buon inglese è gentile e disponibile a dare informazioni. È possibile fare anche colazione, noi l abbiamo trovata deliziosa.
