Hôtel Spa Marotte

We love this hotel and the city of Amiens. This was our fourth visit. The hotel is well-positioned for the station, cathedral and shops, but also has local covered parking. The rooms are a great size, the beds comfortable and it is great to actually have a bath in the bathroom.

Driving from Normandy to Bastogne during our WWII site seeing tour and Amiens was a great halfway place to stop. Hotel Marotte was a wonderful place to stay with hosts that could not do enough to accommodate my handicap father who is wheelchair dependent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Only a 10 mins walk to cathedral of our lady in Amiens which is a must see!

Wonderful hotel. The warmest of welcomes. Immaculately clean. Central location. Would highly recommend this amazing hotel. Attention to detail is 100%. Lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble. Amazing!

Lovely hotel, great rooms and spa spotlessly clean. Friendly and accommodating staff, Estelle is so welcoming when we arrived early due to our little classic car needing to travel at low temperatures. Good private parking.

We had a minor issue with the room which we needed help with. We were promised the manager would come up to sort. After repeated phone calls to see when the manager might arrive, we spoke to a lady who told us that the manager had gone home. When we tried to establish why this had happened given the numerous promises that the manager would ‘ be with us in ten minutes,’ this person (who refused to give us their name) made no attempt to explain. The strange thing about the conversation was that the lady seemed to find the whole situation quite amusing. I asked for her to arrange for me to meet with the manager the following morning and gave her my email address to confirm the meeting. She then explained that she was the owner of the hotel and that there would be no meeting. Again, she seemed to find the whole situation extremely amusing. I was clearly getting nowhere so I decided to accept the situation. The bottom line here was that my experience was that the staff and management of this hotel are not really interested in customers and respond to requests for help as a tiresome bore.

Beautiful, quirky 5 star hotel with very big, beautiful, sunny bathrooms overlooking a tree lined pedestrian street. It’s based in 2 buildings a street apart - one was renovated from an old gendarmerie and the other was a bank, the owner managed the renovations and he runs the place today. It’s a small boutique place so don’t expect standard 5* hotel chain services. The 5 stars are in the building, its rooms/bathrooms and atmosphere. The restaurant was very good and has a nice courtyard terrace which is tucked away from the road. We tried the spa (sothys products) - facial and massage and both came away very happy. The hotel is very central - it’s a stone’s throw from restaurants and bars - yet quiet and relaxing.
