Bella Vista Resort Belize

Always the best time!! This was our 7th visit to Bella Vista in the last few years. We try always bring friends and family when we come to share our favorite special place. This time we brought 8 people along and they had an absolute blast! Highly, highly recommend!

Everyone at the resort was so helpful and kind and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome -- and I really mean EVERYONE, from the bartenders to the guys who took us out snorkeling at the last minute and hooked us some lobster (I'll be dreaming about the resulting ceviche for the rest of my life) to the owners. The view from our room was amazing too, and both the food and the drinks were awesome. All in all, we had an absolutely incredible experience and we'll absolutely be coming back. 10/10 recommended!!

Where do I begin? If you are looking for a fun and relaxing vacation Bella Vista Resort is the best place to stay. The staff is very welcoming, loving and extremely sweet. They are always working hard to make sure their guest feels at home and have everything they need to make their vacation well worth it. You have the Beach, pool, and many activities to engage in. You can get the best 60-90 minute massage you ever had right on the property. The food… speechless!! There wasn’t anything on the menu I did not like. My favorite was Belizean breakfast, shrimp tacos, and the coconut curry fish. Oh wait I cannot forget the coconut pie, a must have! Almost every night there is music playing. You can sit in the pool and jam out or at the bar having an amazing drink. Either spot you’re going to have a blast. I enjoyed talking to the staff and getting to know them and their culture. They recommend plenty of place to visit in town, my favorite Secret Beach. If I get the chance I would definitely go back in a heart beat. Everyone was so accommodating. I miss my second family at Bella Vista. Look out for Dakota, Mani, Pablo, Susan, Minerva, and Enrique (not the singer but the good looking one lol). Thank you to whole staff for making our family trip one to remember.

The location is great. It is quiet with a quick ride into town. It is on the way to Secret Beach as well. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel has activities that you can do on-site with no expense to you, such as paddle boarding and kayaking. At night we went out to star gaze as the skies are clear. The rooms were specious and the linens were clean and well kept. The food was good, so you can eat on-site. They have live entertainment which is a plus. The staff was extremely friendly!

Everything about this trip was perfect! Our accommodations in the Crocodile Suite were very comfortable with a beautiful view. The staff made us feel like family. Miss Linda, Pablo, Susie, Crystal, Manny, and all the other staff were great and couldn't have been more friendly. The location of the resort was ideal for being able to get into downtown San Pedro for dining and shopping and exploring the rest of Ambergris Caye by golf cart. Renting a golf cart is a must! We were also able to book a fishing and snorkeling excursion right at the resort. The arrangements for ground transportation to and from the airport and ferry dock went off without a hitch. We hated to leave at the end of the week.

This was a great stay! All the staff were very welcoming and communication exceeded expectations. Very helpful in planning arrival and departure via water taxi or air, as well as planning vehicle rental or transportation to/from San Pedro. The restaurant on site was excellent with live music almost every night. We were even able to kayak out to the reef and snorkel on our own with great instruction and support from the staff.

We had a wonderful stay in the Crocodile suite (2 adults & 2 college age adults). The unit was comfortable, as described & shown on line. It overlooks the pool and waterfront. The service from start to finish of everyone on the property was top notch. We enjoyed dealing with every person we encountered but a special shout out to Daid who I really enjoyed speaking with on our regular trips to town in which I rode with him in the front of the golf cart. They will drive you & pick you up for $20 round trip (US) which was really reasonable and convenient. The island itself is full of golf carts and we didn't want to rent one as parking looked like a nightmare in town and our tours all picked us up from their dock. The restaurant (Aji) is fantastic. We had at least one breakfast, lunch and dinner there. They also cooked our fresh catch after a half day fishing trip for a reasonable price which includes sides. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to revisit soon.

This resort has recently chain sawed down the majority of the large trees they had on site that housed birds, iguanas, and made the location feel like it was still part of the authentic Belize experience. They are also draining the lagoon that was on site to make more room for addition rentals. Heartbreaking to no longer sit on the deck amid the wildlife!

I had been coordinating for a few months with Inayel T. He gave my friends and I all the details we needed and more. My friend and I were late arriving (basically don’t book basic economy with American Airlines) the rooms were my name and on my card. My four other friends were a little worried about getting in, as the rooms were under my card. Inayel quickly assured me that my friends would not only be able to get checked in, he would also be able to pick them up at the airport. We were picked at the San Pedro airport by the hotel staff on a golf cart. Inayel showed us around and where to eat and any questions he was able to answer. Our stay was in two different suites and a studio. No one was surprised as the photos listed online looked like our hotel. The restaurant at the hotel, the Aji, was delicious and local. I had the Belizean breakfast as well the burrito both were great. There is an additional charge for protein but most of the breakfast dishes are included with your stay. For dinner I had the curried shrimp and conch, it was delicious. They have a pretty good happy hour deal from 2-5 with cocktails as little as $3. The pool has a swim up bar and is right next to the restaurant and bar. The pool has a waterfall which they will turn on with request if not already on. It is only 5ft deep. The pool over looks the ocean. Because of the rainy season I did not get to enjoy the paddle board and kayaks however they come with the hotel. My friends booked a massage package and all really enjoyed themselves. Because of rainy season our catamran tour was canceled. But Belize Parasailing (affiliated with the hotel) was able to take us to the main snorkel channels. We went to Hol Chan Marine and Shark Ray alley. At hol chan marine our tour guide caught two lobsters! He then took us to Palapa grill and we ate the lobsters he caught us! I have never had such fresh sea food! Tip: if rainy season bring lots of bug spray and baby oil as there will be sand fleas during rainy season.
