Premier Inn Manchester Altrincham

Great staff but the worst Premier Inn I've stayed in. We were on the first floor and could hear every word spoken by both people outside and those in the room above. The blind was ill-fitting and certainly not blackout. The doors from reception to room corridors are not locked and keys have the room number sellotaped to them so be sure not to lose them. The only coffee available for breakfast is filter coffee and food is served, rather than a buffet.

We stayed here the night before flying out of Manchester airport. The hotel is in a good location for the airport (around a 20 mins drive away from the terminal) and we got our holiday off to a great start here. Our room had a cosy bed for a good night’s sleep. We had dinner in the adjoining Table Table restaurant (George & Dragon), as well as breakfast. The quality of food was excellent - I agree with some other comments that the porridge here is the best I have ever tasted. There is a free car park too.

This was our 2nd visit here on business, and didn’t disappoint. Great value for money and in the perfect location. Easy to travel into Manchester. Yvonne was great and gave us lots of places to visit locally and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was fresh, and beds were comfy! We will be back again!

Don’t let the negative reviews put you off. I booked this without looking as I never have major issues at premier inn but had checked them later to find out what is near etc and it did scare me. We arrived to a very friendly welcome and were surprised to find our room was perfectly acceptable. Didn’t smell bad, very clean. Yes not the most modern hotel we have been to and some paint peeling on the bathroom skirting board etc. minor things. Shower has good pressure and very hot. Bed comfortable as would expect at a premier inn. No issues with room temperature. Breakfast was really good. We unfortunately did not eat at the restaurant for dinner but will return here and try it at another point. Location is also very good. Friendly staff. We stayed for 3 nights and had no issues at all.

Stayed one night and couldn’t fault it. Staff were friendly especially Yvonne on reception who gave us directions and recommendations that resulted in a great night out. Facilities were excellent especially in the bar and restaurant, would highly recommend and will be back.

The room we were allocated had a terrible smell. Overall the hotel is terribly rough and run down. I've used the premiere inn lots of times and have never experienced a bad hotel by them untill now.... Avoid this hotel at all costs.... Checked in and checked out 5 minutes later.....
