The Falcon Hotel

The hotel is located on the main road through Sandvig-Allinge and it offers free parking. We booked 3 nights in the middle of the week in August (Dkr 4224 including breakfast). I made the mistake booking directly with the hotel asking for sea view and a terrasse. What we got was a tiny room (room 35) and the bathroom the smallest I have ever seen. The bathroom was a wet room, which means that when taking a shower, one is unable to avoid spraying the toilet etc. The whole room was wet afterwards. The amenities were poor. No conditioner and no cotton buds. The small room had so many decorating cushions and other stuff, which made it feel even smaller. We could see bits of the sea when standing up in the room. Very poor lighting made it impossible to read at night. The room had a strange mouldy smell, which was still in our clothes after we left. Our terrasse was not private and there were no chairs. Instead, there was steps leading straight up to all the rooms which meant, that people looked straight into our room when climbing the steps. Apart from the disappointing room, the décor of the hotel itself is absolutely stunning and breakfast was nice. It would have been perfect if the bread roles had not been bake-off. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did not feel our room was value for money.

The hotel and restaurant sit impressively on a hill across the street from the more well-known Nordbornholm restaurant. We went for dinner - the food was delicious. Although we dined inside, the patio has wonderful views from it's high vantage point. Our waiter was very attentive and entertained the one-year old we had with us. When we return to Bornholm, we'll definitely seek out The Falcon Hotel for dining.

We stayed here for two nights. We have a mixed feelings about the hotel. The location is great, right by the sea, close to many tourist attractions. We had a great ocean view both from the terrace / restaurant as well as our room in the main house. The hotel interior is unique and pretty, and all the staffs were very friendly, so everything on the surface felt great. However, unfortunately, we also had some unpleasant moments. Our room smelled very moist the moment we walked in, and the smell did not disappear the entire stay. We also found a previous guest’s underwear hanging in the bathroom. There was very limited electric plugs in the strangest/most inconvenient places to charge anything. And the room did not get cleaned / the bed did not get made on the 2nd day.. overall, it’s an okay place but I’m not sure if we can fill heatedly recommend it..

We were 4 adults having the greatest 4 days stay. Upon arrival it turned out there had been a double booking for the suites we booked, and we couldn't get. They instantly offered us a 5-course gourmet dinner incl. wine menu as compensation. Really nice - and the standard rooms are also nice. The food, both breakfast and dinner is fantastic and tasty, and they prioritize to serve really good coffee. You feel the Italian "love and passion" for good and well-prepared food and service. The atmosphere at the hotel is warm, "homy" and family-like. They do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Best stay we ever had in Bornholm, and we will definitely come back!!

What a great experience! Very special ambiance that takes you to Africa… the rooms and especially the restaurant. We enjoyed also the terrace with a beautiful view to the nature. Really sweet staff and good food. We will be back next year.

Had booked 2 nights but ended up staying 4 nights. This is one of those rare hotels where you get a homelike feeling the moment you enter lobby. Not quite sure what exactly does it, probably a combination of the the staff, the smell of flowers, the adjacent lounge with its chesterfield furniture and fireplace, the free 24/7 coffee (from an excellent automatic coffee brewer) and the wine dispenser giving easy access to wine by the glass with 8 bottled wines to choose from. Amazingly, this hotel grows on you, so much that you don’t wanna leave. The breakfast buffet consists of delicacies with attention to quality rather than quantity, with the Prosecco as the icing on the cake :-) Do yourself a favor and have dinner in the restaurant at least once during your stay - you won’t regret it. Other than that, we tried nearby “Ella’s Restaurant” which I can also recommend. I’ll definitely be back to this “my new favorite place” in Bornholm

Simply great Food was excellent, service was kind and helpful, view and options for taking a walk was great. Waking up to a garden view with pigeons and rabbits. The dining room was amazing and every little detail is thought of and seems hand picked. The goples in the dining room tops the atmosphere with rest and calmness. We will return.

Venlig og imødekommende betjening. Ret små værelser og desværre meget koldt på badeværelset, da der ikke var nogen form for varme.

Super skønt og interessant hotel med en helt særlig indretning og atmosfære. Lækker middag i restauranten og morgenmaden er helt i top. Vi kommer tilbage
