The experience was wonderful. We were taken care of very well and had a sumptuous lunch and tea prepared for us . The staff Sujeet, Prince and Sony attended to us and whipped a fantastic meal. The boat was very steady and it was a joyous experience

Absolutely awesome experience!!! We definitely recommend! Honey welcomed us to Alappuzha and handed us over to the wonderful boat staff Venu, Arun and Sujith. The food cooked by the chef Sujith was absolutely delicious. We even had the option of buying fresh crab and prawn which he made ***** with the delicious meals he had planned for us. The vegetarian options were excellent. The captain of the boat Venu, was a super host and went out of his way to ensure that our stay was pleasant. We stayed for 1 night and wished we had booked two. If you are ever in Kerala, make it a point to visit. You won’t regret!

A burst of joy is how I would term our Xandari houseboat experience . From the time of booking till the end of the trip, everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. Benita, Honey, and on the boat Pradeep, Prdeesh and chef Martin...really appreciate all of them. My friend from Colombo and I embarked on this quick houseboat stay. Despite being a Malayalee, this was a first time experience for me, and I'm so glad we did it. Clean houseboat, courteous staff and great food. I particularly liked the detailed explanations given to us as we boarded , including the route. Also the opportunity to buy fresh catch from a waterside shop and have it cooked for dinner was super! I highly recommend the Xandari houseboat experience!

We did 2 nights at a houseboat from Xandari Riverscapes, it was absolute heaven… we had such a great and magical experience and highly recommend staying on one of their boats. We were welcomed by a lovely lady on land that explained the full programme of the 2 days we booked and she made sure everything was perfect. During the 2 days on water we have been so well looked after by the crew Sony, Prince and the incredible cook Sujith, who cooked up a storm every meal! We are so thankful for the peaceful time we spend here. It was hard to leave :)

My boyfriend and I spent the whole day in the houseboat. Our cruise was made pleasant by the very nice crew. We got a very tasty coconut drink, lunch, dessert and coffee. We had the opportunity to visit the local area and see what water transport looks like. After the trip together, my boyfriend and now fiancé prepared a wonderful, unforgettable and unique engagement with the crew. The crew decorated the boat for us and created a very romantic atmosphere. We ate a delicious dinner, cake, drank very good wine and the next day we could count on a nutritious breakfast. The night on the boat was an exciting experience, the rooms are tidy and there is everything you need on the boat. We would like to thank Xandari Riverscapes for very thorough preparation of such an amazing event, and we would especially like to thank the crew: Kunjumon, Mahesh, Sujihchef and Shibumon for taking care of us and creating something that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you, we wish you all the best and see you soon

This was the highlight of our South India holiday and we will highly recommend. The captain and chef onboard took care of us from the time we on boarded our deluxe honeymoon houseboat. The bedroom was fully air-conditioned, upper relaxing deck had a large fan and was undercover too. The Kerala lunch was amazing with fry fish, sambal and rice. Dinner was jumbo prawns and mud crabs Kerala style. Next morning breakfast onboard had fresh fruit juice, fresh fruit, omelette and masala tea. Great to take families in the larger vessels with 2 or 3 bedrooms.

Our rice boat tour was fantastic! We did a two-night excursion around the Kerala backwaters and enjoyed every minute. The boat’s crew was amazing….very friendly and attentive. The accommodations on board are very nice with all the amenities. The meals were delicious - an excellent mix of local and Indian foods. For bird enthusiasts, there are myriad birds including fish eagles, herons, kingfishers, cormorants, and bee-eaters. We hope to do another backwater cruise, but with friends who need to experience the beauty and peacefulness of the backwaters.
