Our recent stay at Plessas Palace Hotel was a mixed experience. Upon arrival at 5:30 am, we were met with a dark, seemingly closed reception, which left us waiting for 6 hours before we could check in. This was not the ideal start to our holiday, and it would be helpful if the hotel could provide clearer information about their reception hours. The room itself was basic but clean, providing suitable accommodation for the price we paid. However, we encountered some plumbing issues that caused an unpleasant smell, and the shower was not mounted, making it difficult to use. Additionally, the unexpected charge of 70€ for air conditioning, which was advertised as included, was disappointing. In the future, I would avoid hotels that impose hidden charges for essential amenities like air conditioning. On a positive note, the bar offered a nice, budget-friendly atmosphere, and the staff were exceptional, going above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The food at Nikos was fantastic and reasonably priced, adding to the enjoyable dining experience. The swimming pool was a refreshing highlight, although the practice of reserving sunbeds with towels as early as 7 am was frustrating. The standout feature of Plessas Palace Hotel was undoubtedly the friendliness and dedication of the staff. Despite their efforts, the combination of initial inconveniences and additional costs means we will likely seek accommodation closer to the beach with included amenities and better-maintained facilities in the future.
