Mariner Club Apartments

We booked this break quite late as just wanted a quick break away. The apartment was clean with a small kitchenette which we didn’t use apart from the kettle which on the first morning blew all the fuses but that was soon rectified. The pool area was pleasant with plenty of sun beds but be mindful that towels for the pool are not supplied you need to bring your own. The bar is adequate and shows sky sports and George is very helpful and very friendly. The reception staff are quite standoffish when you arrive they make you sign a paper dictating all of the things you need to do to avoid a fine !! Bar prices are very reasonable the food looked fine but we never eat here so can’t really comment. The beds are quite small and not that comfortable but for a 5 night stay it was ok would we return - I doubt it

Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights in October. We had a great time here and would gladly come back. I doubt you can beat this place in terms of value for money: the rooms are effectively equipped for simple meals and beds are comfortable. Air condition works and shower is decent provided you're not doing the washing up at the same time. Not a huge amount of natural light in the downstairs apartments but we didn't want to spend that much time inside and the balcony area was fine for 4 people. Rooms are cleaned and towels replaced twice a week. We didn't see any entertainment but it was October and our boys are probably a bit old for it now. The complex isn't huge so there aren't likely to be loads of guests vying for places to sit outside. They play lively music outside the bar area - not particularly loud if you are near the pool and nowhere near as bad as the nearby Jupiter and Saturn hotels. Supermarkets, bars and restaurants in walking distance. Beach 15mins walk but we were lazy and drove. The staff were very friendly including Mathilde on the front desk. Plenty of car parking outside and a nice garden surrounding the hotel with lots of foliage. Loads of sun beds. The bar area has a TV with sports on it and is good for relaxing in if you want time away from the sun. The games area is aimed at smaller (primary school age) children. There was a useful swap area here for people to leave inflatables or unused suncream behind for the benefit of those to follow. The hotel acknowledges that they are in a garden and love alongside lots of insects. They provide insect spray and two plug in repellents. Where this place lost a star in our humble opinion is as follows: 1) the pool is a good size but occasional tiles were missing. It wasn't a problem for us but someone somewhere might not notice and could get a scratch. Water was cold but that's what we expected in October. 2) we could hear people talking and moving furniture in neighbouring apartments. Again this didn't bother us as we are good sleepers but it was noticeable. 3) overall the place could do with a bit of modernization. If you want a place that is simple, effective and cost efficient, then look no further. The price is excellent for what you get, compared to other places nearby. Thank you Mariner Club team.

Decent place, clean with good staff. Was basic in places but all the facilities were there. We stayed Self Catering so did not experience the food, the bar however was good, barmen friendly and attentive. Wasnt the most luxurious place we've stayed but it was good enough for the price and location. Plenty of space for sunbathing and never a worry for a sunbed. Kids play area looked extensive and would appeal to many under 8's and the entertainment was there if you wanted it.

Arrived at hotel at 1 am approx first impression reception area dated and dull en route to room had to go outside pass pool area and bins along path full of rubbish pool looked nice ground floor apartment difficult to see in dimly lit area and no. of apartment on wall in black ..door key difficult to use as too tight to wall and couldn't turn key full way .on entering room noticed two what I can only describe as sofa beds one of which against curtains apartment very dated and small mosquitos and we had bites staff were nice but food was just okay would have expected a buffet breakfast you could only have two drinks ie. Coffee and water or juice and coffee location was OK staff were fine we had dinner x2 days it was average we went home early it was poor the whole experience no luxuries at these apartment s

We as family had the best stay here been to fancier places but this topped them all. The staff are great helpful has such a relaxed vibe and place is well maintained pool area and surroundings spotless. Rooms where clean tidy comfortable with all amenities you could need for a stay. We ate breakfast dinner here few times food was really nice can tell cooks take pride in there job . Bar staff lovely people was nice to hear there stories and get to know them a little. Great entertainment staff. Maids keep rooms clean work so hard also maintenance staff work had always upkeeping the area. Pool area is so nice all in closed lovey gardens surrounding pool.

I have to start this review with a little perspective. Just returned for a very expensive 4 star plus holiday to Tenerife and this was a fraction of the price and overall better. The hotel is basic right but it has everything you need. The rooms are clean tidy and comfortable. The pool, no race for early morning sunbed dashes you can get sunbeds at anytime of the day. Very refreshing. The location is a little walk to the beach but hey it’s not a home just 10 minutes or so. I would not recommend half board as the hotel food is pensive compared to local restaurants but there is nothing wrong with the food at the hotel it’s just cheaper nearby and there is plenty of choice. The beach is the beach, sand and sea not really relevant to the hotel. The entertainment at the hotel is poor but it is at every hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere. A short walk and you are in Alcúdia port lots going on there. Plenty to do, loads of restaurants. Etc. Personally I would not pay for a more expensive hotel when this offers everything you need at half the price. I will certainly not waste money again on more expensive hotels where you have the dumbed wars. This is a great hotel at a fiat price and offers everything you need.
