We had a room over looking the golf course but couldn’t get a WiFi signal, went to reception and was given a room overlooking the pool. The porter came and helped us move our luggage, he was such a lovely cheerful man and always spoke when we passed him. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, a free safe and lots of space to hang clothing. (Get your milk from the bar) also a mini fridge with soft drinks provided daily, The pool area is spectacular, lots of loungers and mats to be had although whilst there the mats where being replaced with new ones. The swim up bar was a welcomed relief from the hot weather. Pool towels are provided but you have to leave a deposit of £13:00 or 50 tdn per person, the deposit is because other guests steal towels, when you leave your deposit, you get a towel card, you take this to the little hut and are given fresh towels, you can swap these at any time and get your deposit back when you hand your towel card back to reception. We ate most of our meals in the all inc buffet restaurant, lots of choice, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, my daughters favourite was the pancakes and donuts at breakfast, sadly no bacon or sausage but we was in a Muslim country so understandable! We tried the bbq buffet restaurant a couple of times but at peek periods was really hard to find a table. One evening the soup was freezing cold, I saw a lady approach the manager and complain.. the whole tureen of soup was taken away, the following day these was replaced with new ones, the soup was hot and fresh from then on. In my opinion the hotel needs more waiters at meal times, the ones that are present are trying to clear tables, reset them and serve drinks, the hotel was full so they where rushed off their feet.. just a tip to the manager .. the cleaners who walk around the restaurant sweeping, get them to clear the tables so the waiters can concentrate on resetting and serving drinks to waiting guests also maybe consider self service drinks where only adults can use drinks machines (less wastage) Whilst there we witnessed a very drunken man demanding alcohol even after he’d had waaay to much, he was pestering guests for more alcohol, he was spoken to by bar staff, security and eventually the hotel manager.. the end result was him being taken to his room to sleep it off by 2 burly security guards.. they do operate a zero tolerance to this kind of thing. My family have travelled extensively throughout Tunisia over the years and I have to say this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We don’t usually stay in the same place twice, we only arrived back yesterday and have been to the travel agent and booked for the same weeks next year. Please ignore the negative reviews. Remember it wouldn’t do for us all to like the same thing and as my dear mum always said .. one man’s meat is another man’s offal (meaning the offal to you tastes like my steak and vice versa)
