Tri Koggala is a fantastic and quiet place in the middle of the jungle. The service is amazing! The hotel and surroundings are beautiful. 10 min drive to the beach by Tuk Tuk. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Hopefully we will be coming back. // Simon and Caroline

You sometimes find hotels that are just perfect and Tri by Koggala is surely one of them. From the entrance we understood that this is a very peaceful property that is away from the Noice and business of the towns. We were greeted with great smiles and everyone was so nice to us. I came with my wife to celebrate my birthday and the hotel staff was extra kind to allow us even early check-in. I had read from the reviews that the food was amazing and I was still surprised at how delicious the food was. Every bite was splendid and we will surely miss this food. We also went on a fabulous boat ride around the islands and the staff accompanied us were very good with their explanations. The next day morning was my birthday and the hotel staff had done an amazing decoration near the lake which allowed us to take some stunning birthday pictures. We took many pictures around the property and had the best birthday celebration possible. My wife accidentally broke a glass and we offered to pay for it but the staff was so nice to say no and allowed us to stay past our regular 11 checkout time as well just for us to enjoy the day a bit more. I am extremely delighted that I picked Tri by Koggala for my birthday and will surely visit this serene place again soon. It's a must visit place in Sri Lanka for the view and the hospitality.

1. The service from the manager and the staff was absolutely terrible. The manager kept bombarding us with messages asking about our checkout time, which was beyond irritating and unprofessional. 2. I accidentally left my phone charger in the room, and they didn’t even bother to inform me. I only realized it after calling them hours later. For a hotel chain like Amaya, this level of negligence is shocking. 3. The road leading to the hotel is ridiculously narrow—you can’t even walk comfortably, let alone drive without stress. It’s a nightmare to access. 4. This hotel is completely overrated. The experience was awful, and there’s nothing special about it. If you’re looking for a decent place to stay, pick a hotel near the beach instead of wasting your money on this disaster. If you still choose to stay here, good luck—you’ll regret it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

I visited Tri Koggala on November 2nd, 2025, with the intention of scouting the location for a photoshoot session. However, my experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing from the moment I arrived. Upon reaching the gate, the security guard questioned the reason for my visit, and after explaining I wanted to view the location and discuss the possibility of booking for a photoshoot, he called someone from the management team. The response was shocking. I was immediately told that no one could access the premises, and I was asked to leave without any explanation or a chance to view the location. How can anyone make a reservation for a photoshoot without seeing the location first? The lack of professionalism, hospitality, and courtesy was glaring. The management and staff made me feel unwelcome and completely disregarded any potential for collaboration. Additionally, the access road to the property is in terrible condition. It is heavily damaged, and my car was even impacted by the poor state of the road, which was both frustrating and unsafe. In an area like Koggala, there are plenty of excellent hotels and locations that offer far better hospitality, professionalism, and overall service. I strongly advise against visiting Tri Koggala by Amaya. I will not be recommending this place to anyone, whether for a stay or any other activities.

The staff at Tri Koggala treated us like royalty. I highly recommend staying here. It's a lovely oasis on one of the most beautiful lakes. The food was delicious, their boat ride was relaxing, and swimming in their pool was divine. Thank you!!!

Tri is absolutely perfect. Spectacular rooms, beautiful service and a location that is so gob-smackingly beautiful that you have to keep pinching yourself. This is a wonderfully considered place where you feel like all of your worries have been erased. If you can stay here, DO. It’s beyond fabulous.
