The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful. Drift and Wood Restaurant was outstanding, all of the meals we had were large and excellent quality, the vegetarian papradelle pasta was simply divine. Bar staff were so friendly and helpful as we worked our way through the cocktail list. Such a relaxing atmosphere, as great to have live music on the Friday night, what an amazing musician. We stayed in one of the beach homes with the plunge pool. Spacious, quiet and relaxing. Could hear the waves on the beach. Short stroll to the beach for a lovely walk and morning coffee. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much.

The resort is well located on the beach and a short walk to the town centre with great facilities and a very good (although expensive) onsite restaurant. We stayed in a beautiful Beach House (#8) which was super spacious and well equipped which we were glad of as it poured rain most of our short holiday. These Bali style apartments were clearly designed and built to a luxury standard but were a little tired and in need of an overhaul and maintenance. The furniture was clean and of a high standard and the bathrooms well designed and the kitchen and outdoor entertaining areas were huge! Full laundry with dryer and a private clothesline was very handy. Reception were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and hopefully use the pool next time!

Very close to the beach and all the eateries were well within walking distance. A clean and tidy space that was well received. The check in and check out were easy and clear. A walk and swim at the Burleigh Heads Beach is a must for all holidayers. The interior has been refurbished to a very good standard.

Our first visit to Agnes and we all really enjoyed the relaxed feel of the town and the beautiful beach. Sandcastles is a beautiful place to stay. It is centrally located, a short 5 min walk to the Main Street and the beach is at the end of the track. We stayed in a beach house but there are also garden houses to chose from. Our beach house was very clean and with an impressively stocked kitchen. The beach houses don’t have any windows in the bedrooms but instead have louvres which sort of made our room dark through the day, our room was just outside the main living room. They seem to all be built for the hot Qld summer not capitalizing on the winter sun for warmth. The staff are incredibly helpful and lovely and we would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 2 weeks in one of the beach houses ..one bedroom unit … we loved it .. the gated community , the beautiful garden and the short stroll to the beach … we will Be back as there was nothing we did not love ..make sure you drive out to 1770 headland or park for sunset .. beautiful ☀️

Room was spacious. Lovely outdoor area. Easy walk to the beach. Great pizza and wine at the restaurant. Easy way into shops. All in all a pleasant experience. Easy drive to 1770 as well. We will return and stay longer to enjoy this special part of the Queensland Coast

We stayed a couple of days in a beach house. The grounds and area are beautiful with the beach, only a short walk away. The apartment was very spacious but seemed tired and in need of an upgrade. The balconies were not very clean, and it seemed like a while since it had been used. We had a beach home on the second floor and we were not aware (if it is stated on the website) that there are no lifts and since the car park is in the basement, it is not easy with luggage. So if you do not want to carry luggage, request a ground floor apartment.

A friend booked two “Budget Studio” rooms on a 3 for 2 deal so that we could catch up (we are from SA and don’t see them very often). One of the rooms could legitimately be described as a Studio in that it was large and had a lounge/dining area with a table, comfortable chairs and a small kitchen area with its own sink. The other room was just large enough to house a king size bed with about a metre of walking space around it, no chairs, no table, no kitchen sink (it did have a kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave etc). There wasn’t even room to fit a bedside table and reading light on one side of the bed. Both rooms were clean and bright with comfortable beds and en-suite which is why I gave them 2 stars - but since both rooms were described as ‘Budget Studio’ and charged out at the same price I recommend that anyone intending to stay at Sandcastles 1770 makes sure that they know what they are getting for their money as the management’s description of the rooms is not to be relied upon.

We celebrated our 22nd Wedding Anniversary here in a Beach House with its own plunge pool. The house was decked out with everything anyone could ever want along with a comfortable bed and lovely amenities. A quick walk to the beach and an on-site restaurant where you can sit out on the deck, lovely on a balmy night. This was our second time to stay but last time we stayed in a Garden Villa which was also well appointed and very clean and a comfy bed. Lovely ladies at the front counter when checking in and out too which are very welcoming. We will be back.
