Pelagia Aphrodite Hotel

I led a group of 17 women on a yoga retreat on the island of Kythera, for a week, in Sept 2023z I can’t speak highly enough of the entire family who own and run the Pelagia Aphrodite Hotel. Tanya was amazing with her support and assistance during the Retreat. Nothing was a problem. I can’t wait to return for a personal visit with my family. I attended a fantastic Yoga Retreat at Hotel Aphrodite and it was amazing. The hotel was so clean and the people so caring and attentive to every need. Great rooms, spacious and the view is beautiful. The breakfast each morning was delicious, locally sourced and presented with care. Thank you HOtel Aphrodite for making the week so special.

My room was spacious, beautiful and impeccably clean, as were the grounds and common areas. The view and the sound of the waves on the shore could not be beat. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. But even better than all that is the family that owns and runs Pelagia Aphrodite. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and friendly, while also being professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

We absolutely loved this hotel. It is family run, and they pay the finest attention to detail. Tanya was the best concierge I have ever experienced, from restaurants to beaches, to experiences. She called ahead and made all the plans for us. Then we were treated like royalty when we got there! The rooms and balconies were comfortable and welcoming, with glorious views. The hotel is right by the ocean for our morning dip before indulging in their home made, home grown, delicious breakfasts. We feel so lucky to have found this gem.

Family-friendly family-run hotel on a bluff right on the sea in the charming village of Agia Pelagia. We stayed in room four which had two terraces with seating and unobstructed sea views. There is a small practically private red sand/pebble beach steps away which slopes gently into the water and is easy on the feet, unlike some of the more popular, harder to reach beaches which have steeper grades, rougher waves and slippery rocks but are still well worth visiting (Diakofti at the port has a lovely sand beach with shallow aquamarine water). The staff is friendly and helpful and make you reel at home. The breakfast is replete with cakes and (Greek) pies, fruits, vegetables, rusks, eggs, homemade apricot jam and more, with plenty of options for vegans. We spent three days and could easily have spent a week.

Excellent. Sleeping with the sound of waves is heaven. Waking to watch the sun rise on our balcony is heaven. A nice walk and swim before the best breakfast with lots of homemade goodies is heaven. The service is wonderful at this family run hotel. I am so grateful for this hotel. I will return.
