Aquarius Beach Eco-Hotel

We visit Messhongi regularly but this was our first stay in the Aquarius. We were a family of three, our studio room was the perfect size with a little kitchen area and wonderful long balcony. The rooms were cleaned daily , lovely bedding and a constant supply of fresh towels. The shower was hot, even first thing in the morning and there was a supply of really nice toiletries. Pool area was well maintained and clean, lots of sunbeds and no rush to reserve any, there were always a few available. The Aquarius is just a minutes walk from the beach and very close to the supermarket, bakery and a few restaurants and bars, but our room was quiet once sliding doors to balcony were closed. The staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We'd definitely recommend and will be returning 😊

I am currently staying at this hotel, regretfully I'm not giving it the review based on others. First and foremost it is very noisy with residents banging doors I was lucky to bump into owner and she has agreed to change doors which I said would be expensive so I recommended alternative route she will speak to her joiner. The Receptionist gets woken every night and wakes early. I've stayed at basis 3 stars all over Greece and this is not in a good way The Balcony is tiny you can only get the one chair outside and table.very narrow. This is room 15.Future quests I wish you good luck. I'm here for a week. Air-conditioning great room small to much in room. TV the smallest ever A4 Size. Pool looks great again small. Professional Photos used by Easyjet makes everything in pool and bedrooms look larger. Cleaners start early.nice touch kettle tea coffee. Etc. Hairdryer. If the above is sorted it could be great. Location great. Beach 2 mins. Supermarkets great next to hotel as ars all restaurants. Bus stop next to hotel timetables on door. Boat trips are great over end of village close to River Captain Homers. Great 7hr trip. 35Euros.Corfu Town 2.40.busy.and a long walk back to Bus Station for return trip last bus 8.30pm.

Excellent hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely pool area. Comfy bed with crisp white linen. Rainfall shower. Spotlessly clean. Mini kitchen. Complimentary tea coffee sugar and water. Ouzo and sweets on arrival in room. Location is great. Beach 2 minutes away. Supermarket across the road. Bars and restaurants nearby. Will return soon. Great place.

A large group of us spent a wonderful weekend here at Aquarius. Eleni and her team could not have been more helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are very well equipped and cleaned every day, and the pool area is divine. The personalised service we received was just amazing. This lovely little hotel has a 5 star heart. It’s a little dated in places but they are refurbishing the rooms gradually but it’s the most thoughtful place. Ouzo, dried fruits, little biscuits, water in the fridge on arrival. Hats and books to borrow. They check in every day even though room service isn’t daily but it’s really not needed. The pool towels are a little old but the bedding is all new and lovely. A minute’s walk from the beach, lots of places to eat and drink nearby and a very cold pool which is definitely bracing but appreciated and very clean. I arrived after reception closed but was given instructions and a phone number in case there was an issue - great peace of mind when travelling solo. Cannot recommend this lovely little place enough.

Won’t find better than this in Messonghi. Our room was very large with kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and milk, small electric hob, toastie maker, hairdryer and pool towels. The room and pool were kept immaculately clean, and nothing was too much trouble. This hotel owner has got it right, everything was well organized and the staff were very polite, always asking if everything was ok. If you required anything it was there in an instant. The location of the hotel was central to the village, and only 30 metres from the beach. Plenty of Tavernas to choose from at immediate hand, we especially liked Menore’s (Harry’s), Kostas, Bacchus, Mo Jo’s burgers, and the new Pizza, Pasta and Wine Bistro. Time Out Boss (George’s) had the best Cocktails and really nice and pleasant bar staff. 2 big supermarkets were just around the corner, and were very well stocked with anything you required. Overall we had a really relaxing holiday with excellent food, weather and hotel, what could be better ? Gem of a find, we will be back.

Service was excellent and hotel had everything you'd need. The room was large with a king and single bed, both comfortable and extra pillow request was instant. Everything was clean and tidy and worked. There was a nice balcony with a clothes drier, we had a corner room overlooking the pool and a few swifts/swallows nested above which were interesting to watch for a bit. We arrived late and got good instructions as reception wouldn't be open. The staff were all exceptional, always a hello or hows your stay,nothing was too much trouble. The pool had umbrellas and really good quality loungers, pool towels were provided as well at reception. Lots of little tavernas very close, our favourite was opposite the supermarket and hotel. The supermarket was literally next door.

The hotel is in a perfect location, just a short walk to the beach and all of the local bars and restaurants. The staff were very accommodating and went over and above to help with any requests we had. A great place to stay when visiting Messonghi - thanks a lot from John & Chelsea.

My partner and I have just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay at the Aquarius in Messonghi. We have visited many of the Geek Islands, including Corfu, over the years. We could not fault this aparthotel. Eleni and her team are second to none. Friendly, welcoming, simply cannot do enough for you. Our experience in this self catering accommodation was outstanding. All the little extras that appeared daily, welcome bottle of wine, sweets, little arrangement of flowers on the beautifully made bed, fruit, ouzo, biscuits, and refilling of coffee, tea and milk cartons. We did not expect this. Lucia from housekeeping team also deserves a thank you. Comfortable large bed in our family studio for the two of us, with balcony overlooking the lush green garden. Kitchen equipped with everything we needed including handy little sandwich toaster. The modern bathroom was fully equipped with lovely hair and body shampoo, hot water and powerful shower. Good quality white towels, also providing pool towels. Great quiet effective air conditioning much appreciated. The pool was always clean, well maintained, comfy sun loungers and readily available whatever time of the day. No reserving with towels thank goodness, in fact this would not have been allowed, was not necessary anyway…..big plus from us on this one. Eleni is lovely, always there with a cheery hello, checking we were ok, very helpful in suggesting good places to eat, and visit, including Corfu town. We followed her advice and found the best ice cream selection (forget the name), followed later by good meal at Marina’s Taverna on route back through Old Town Corfu to bus station. Green buses air conditioned, very inexpensive and brilliant way to get around the Island. Eleni we cannot wait to visit again, thank you soo much from two very happy satisfied guests :-) Messonghi itself is beautiful, not overly busy but with plenty of choice tavernas, cocktail bars and a couple of lively fun bars to bring people together for live music, fun and dancing. Local people all genuinely friendly and welcoming. Supermarkets and great little shops on the doorstep, open nail very late. Probably our favourite resort on Corfu. Fab holiday, we will be back.
