Atrion Resort Hotel

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel, despite a few positive aspects. The breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options, and the restaurant staff was friendly and attentive. The location was also excellent, with easy access to local attractions. However, several issues significantly affected our stay. Most notably, the rooms had virtually no soundproofing — we could hear every sound from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which made it very difficult to rest. In addition, the air conditioning did not work, and although we reported it to reception, no action was taken. The swimming pool was also unheated and too cold to use comfortably. We were also charged a €10 per day environmental tax, which had not been mentioned during the booking process. While the front desk staff was polite, they showed little initiative in resolving any of the concerns we raised. Overall, the serious lack of comfort, particularly due to noise and poor service, outweighed the hotel’s otherwise good location and breakfast.

Lovely clean modern hotel. Just across road from long sandy beach. Listed as 3* in brochure but recently gained 4* status and rightly so. Modern bathroom with seperate walk in shower. Rooms cleaned every day except Sunday. We had a late flight arriving at hotel after 1.30am but were still shown to our room and there was a bag of food each for us. Nespresso coffee machine in room with 2 pods per day given. Staff friendly and helpful. Katerina on reception gave us good info on buses and Chania town also providing a map. Theodora on reception very helpful on our last day and with a night flight. Towels provided free of charge and two shower cabins so we could freshen up before we left. Dining room was calm and tables cleared and cleaned regularly. Stephi kept a close watch on making sure food was replenished. Food was plentiful and though not to my taste on some nights the family always enjoyed the choice. Only niggle was it could have been hotter. Sunbed snatchers were in force from 6.45am some mornings! I can't understand why hotels have rules that they don't enforce. Fortunately we aren't pool hoggers and managed to get a bed around 5.30pm for our end of the day swim. Overall a good choice for families or couples providing various accomodation choices. The fun train which runs through the resort offers good trips at around 22€ per person for 3hrs. We did the German cemetery, beer tasting and hillside villages. Well run from little kiosks on main road. Wished we'd done a couple more. The beaches are mainly privately owned by small taverns. However for around 6€ to 10€ for 2beds and a sunshade you have access to the restaurant, toilets, shower and changing cabin with waiter service for food and drink on the beach. Nireus was our favourite- a family run place with lovely welcoming friendly staff and delicious food.

We had the best time in this hotel. Perfectly situated to local tavernas and shops and supermarkets. The rooms are excellent and the staff very helpful. Susan at reception gave us a number of recommendations on local things to do and is very nice and helpful. The staff around the pool are really great too. We had B & B. Breakfast was fantastic value with so much variety. I have seen some reviews whereby it says it doesn’t change but to be honest it doesn’t need changing there is so much variety on offer.

-Good and quite calm location, everything is close -Friendly staff -Nice meals on the pool bar at this price point -Clean public areas -Not any big complains or problems We stayed for two weeks and the breakfast could have had more variaton on the options. Queues for coffee got long some times (~5mins). Wifi was around 5-10mbp/s so not the fastest but got the job done. Overall for 3-star hotel we had quite a nice stay! Note: website says that superior rooms have windows to pool or garden, but we had a room to the street, luckily not the main road.

Just returned from our second stay at this lovely hotel. We had an interconnecting room in the main building over the side road but we were not disturbed at all by traffic noises. The beds are comfortable and rooms spotless. Pool area clean and well maintained as are the gardens. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served in the restaurant area next to the garden, there is a wide selection on offer, 3 types of eggs, cereals, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses and so on. Something for everyone. This is a wonderful hotel, you won't be disappointed!

Superbly clean and modern rooms in a central position. Close to the beach and numerous good restaurants.A very nice breakfast also included. I cannot really fault this place. The staff are always cleaning and tidying. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We mainly used the tavernas up the hill. Although this is the end of the season. Some were closing. Hired a car from enterprise down the road to see some of the island. Not sure i would want to be here in the height of summer but this is a nice late break for us. Thanks Atrion 🥰
