If you ever go to Crete, put Sunrise Village top of your list for places to stay We have been coming back to this gem of a hotel for a number of years now having first arrived back in 2014 and always feel truly welcomed every time we arrive. Alexandros and Kristiana set the scene on arrival with a smile and warm greeting that always makes this hotel feel like a home from home for us. They make sure everything runs like clock work and are always available to give advice and suggestions of things to do and places to see The hotel staff are polite, engaging, courteous, hard working and always willing to help and generate a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere whatever the time of day The all inclusive is fantastic value, plentiful and full of choice with many traditional dishes to whet your appetite. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable giving you all you need to fully relax and chill into your vacation with ease The hotel is close to town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants if you fancy something different and the beach is only with a short 5-10 minutes walk away. Chania is a 15 minute bus ride away of you want to see some city life and spread your wings I cannot speak any more highly of the Sunrise Village or the people who make it a great place to stay so make it your choice as we did many years ago ....you will definitely want to go back! We will see you again in 2025 :-)

Just returned home after an amazing holiday at this hotel! I cannot fault anything about my stay and all the staff were amazing and catered for everyone’s needs. The rooms were modern and provided, comfortable beds, WiFi, TV, a kitchenette, bath with shower and a dining table. All rooms had a lovely balcony with bistro table/chairs overlooking the pool. They were roomy and contained everything needed for a comfortable stay. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day, providing guests with fresh bed linen, towels, toiletries and essentials. The cleaner paid attention to detail and always asked if the room was up to standard. The restaurant was ran like clockwork opening exactly at the times advertised. The food was delicious, offering guests a variety of authentic Greek dishes. Plenty of choice including vegetarian/Vegan dishes, salads, sides, pastas, dressings and homemade dips. Deserts were delicious and plenty of choice, including a variety of fresh fruit! Traditional children’s meals were also available. The pool was spacious with plenty of room to swim. There was plenty of sun loungers for all guests and well maintained grounds. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Fabulous hotel, rooms were much bigger than expected, fantastic AC, two bathrooms and balconies, we were a family of five so enough room for all of us. Food was great, varied every day, pool was fantastic, perfect for laps and only 10 min walk to beach/town. Thanks to Babis and Jorge, two fantastic barmen, esp the margaritas!

A big thank you to the hotel and staff of the Sunrise Village Hotel. Everything was excellent including room size, food quality, cleanliness, pool, staff friendliness. The bar staff in the restaurant and the pool bar deserve a special mention. A really enjoyable all inclusive holiday. The beach is a 10 minute walk downhill. A visit to the old village ( 20 minute walk) was worthwhile and a visit to the WW2 museum is fascinating. 200 metres of tunnels dug by forced labour containing relics and a photo history of the battle of Crete.

The staff absolutely made this trip, they were friendly and thoughtful. We didn't arrive until 11pm and they'd set food aside because the restaurant was closed and when we went on a day trip they not only provided lunch boxes (which they advertised) but because we were going to be leaving before breakfast they made up breakfast for us as well. The food throughout was amazing as well, there was always plenty of choices and it was always of a high quality. Everything was kept clean and comfortable. The beach is really easy to get to as well (it's about 5 minutes down a gentle hill). If you're looking in the Platanias area this is a fantastic choice and we would definitely go again!

Been back nearly a week now, Sunrise is a lovely 3 star hotel, the rooms are a nice size, the bathrooms are a little small, very clean, towels changed every other day and bedding, food is very good something for everyone nice and hot, staff are nice a friendly good mix of staff and they seem to get on and play each other up, the grounds are lovely and well kept, the pool is spotless and nice and big, just a short walk down the hill to Platainas if you go left at the bottom of the hill you come to the new town very nice cosmopolitan, right an the bottom of the hill is old town very traditional old Greece, both very nice, the only gripe we had was the beach's arnt very clean we had to walk a good 20 mins to get a nice clean bit of the beach, but other than than very nice holiday, probs wouldn't go back only because we like to try other hotels in Crete,

Travelled here 10-15 th may . Hotel is spotless , room spacious ( stayed 1 bed app number 206) Pool area is spotlessly clean with plenty of room & sun beds . Pool bar open 10-6 with delicious cocktail & warm snacks , frozen cocktails & icecream, bartender was very polite & friendly Plenty of choice at meal time - themed nights Staff are fabulous Had late flight home allowed to use facilities after check out & offered clean towels for shower room before departure Short was down to main road with bars & shops (5mins) Beach another 2 mins behind main road Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break with fantastic staff .

Just returned from the Sunrise Village. We were party of 3 friends staying in a maisonette. The maisonette was lovely and spacious and very clean. Food at the Sunrise was very good and replenished quickly when a tray was empty. The bbq food on Wednesday evening for the Greek night was lovely. The pool area is very clean and plenty of sunbeds. The pool bar serves a good choice of drinks and the guy working there is very nice and polite (sorry but we didn’t get his name). The hotel is in a great quiet location, yet only 5-10 min walk down to the Main Street. Would definitely recommend the Sunrise Village.

This hotel is a good 3 star family run hotel. The location is good but note there is a little walk down to the main high street and beach’s. Literally turn left from hotel and left again down the hill. We had a studio room,newly renovated very clean and had a fridge which was great. Bathroom was clean,water pressure brilliant although I didn’t like having to climb in the bath with no support handles. Free WiFi fantastic Pool towels €10 deposit and €2 to change towels. All rooms looked out onto pool and garden. Staff were lovely and worked hard A couple of points we thought the food could have been hotter. The drinks selection was poor and warm,the wine was undrinkable and not to mention you had to have reusable plastic cups after 9pm! There is no entertainment where you eat your dinner is where you stay for drinks in the evening. There are two local shops to the left which sell drinks snacks etc.
