After some time-consuming check-in issues regarding the type of room and view I had clearly booked and paid for, I was offered a room on the 9th floor with the view I had expected, but without the premium niceties, although a fridge was made available. (And to be fair I was offered evening meals instead during my stay, but preferred to eat out as it is part of the fun of travel.) That apart, my room was spacious, bright and very clean, and although the decor and fittings seemed somewhat in need of an uplift, the lovely view out over the beach and the ocean certainly compensated for it. I found that breakfast was plentiful with a decent range of options, but didn't have any other meals there. The hotel is well situated 5/10 minutes (downhill via steps) from the beach where there are many eateries (some serving alcohol) alongside the promenade, offering a wide range of food. There is a well-stocked supermarket (Uniprix) a short walk inland, and a longer walk gets you to the cable car which takes you up to the old kasbah overlooking Agadir. I generally found the staff friendly and helpful and overall enjoyed my stay here - it was just a pity how it started.
