Arriving at Aso Airport at 18:15 and picking up the car at 19:00 was no problem. We contacted them beforehand via Line upon arrival at the airport. We walked towards parking lot number 4. The company also sent a video on Line showing the directions, and we contacted the rental company for pick-up. For first-time drivers in Japan, there was no need to worry; we adapted quickly. The rental company was about an 8-minute drive from the airport, giving us time to adjust. Driving without a car made the journey less stressful. Driving on Japanese roads is very safe. At almost every intersection without traffic lights, you have to stop and look before proceeding. There are almost no motorcycles on the road. We easily connected to Bluetooth and used Google Maps, which was very safe. The dashboard not only indicated the turning distance (meters) but also the intersection name to avoid making mistakes. The large screen clearly showed how many traffic lights you needed to turn left or right. There were also helpful stickers on the right side of the steering wheel showing how to turn left and right, along with instructions on the wipers and turn signals. Remember the mantra: while driving here, forget your left hand; you'll be able to use the turn signals smoothly. During the trip, we had a minor collision and contacted the rental company via Line for help. We also called the police, filed a report with the insurance company, and applied for subsequent claims. Regardless of the situation, it's crucial to call the police immediately for a claim to be valid. The rental car was a Mitsubishi SUV, but we were given a Suzuki SUV with a starting mileage of 8000km. We drove it for 15 days, plus 1500km. It's a good car to drive, but a bit weak on hills. There were three of us with three 29-inch and one 20-inch luggage, plus three bags. The ride was comfortable. The rear seats need to be folded down to accommodate luggage. It's not as large as a Rave, but Japanese roads aren't wide, so it's really suitable for a mid-size SUV; otherwise, turning skills are required. The return time was 09:00, and our flight was at 11:55. The return process was quick and simple. Despite the accident, there were no difficulties. Rent with confidence! The price was reasonable. This decision was made after considering reviews. I highly recommend this company for its excellent service. Thank you to the handsome guy who picked us up from the airport; knowing about the accident, he kindly assured us everything was alright, which was great.

The car still smells like new! Although it's a light electric vehicle, it doesn't feel underpowered. It's fully equipped, with a full speed range, lane centering, and most importantly, it's incredibly fuel-efficient! I drove a total of 365 kilometers, all on regular roads and no highways, and the fuel consumption was 18.9 km/l.

It was very spacious and comfortable for four people. The car was neat and clean, and the air conditioning worked well, so even though we used it in July, it was cool to drive. The fuel efficiency was also good; even though we drove a lot for 3 nights and 4 days, filling up the tank before returning it cost only about 39,000 yen. I plan to rent a car for all future trips to Japan without fail.

Booking a car through Trip with a suitable budget was perfectly fine; the car pick-up process was clear and straightforward with no issues. The only problem was that I received a similar-class car, not the Fit 4 petrol I originally ordered, but overall it works perfectly fine without any issues. I would still highly recommend it.

This was my first time renting a car through a platform, and I thought I'd encounter many problems, but actually there weren't any. I was worried they'd close at 7 PM, but they waited for me, and I picked up the car smoothly in 30 minutes. Returning the car at Kumamoto Station was also very smooth. Having ETC is really convenient. I was able to rent a Honda Fit (three sizes: large, medium, and small) without any problems. It's really great.
